Eggs-whites or yolks?

Since I was little, I've NEVER liked eggs. Not quiche, not scrambled, not fried, not an omelet, not smothered in ketchup, hot sauce, nothing. I tried to like them, but never could. Until now, when I tried JUST THE WHITES and they're freaking delicious. Turns out that all this time, it was just the yolk I don't like  Which part is your favorite?

I like the whole egg, but if you make me choose I prefer the yolk.0

Whole eggs, but I love the yolks. So much nutricious goodness... I have to try hard not to eat a dozen eggs a week. =(
Or a day.0 -
I love whites, I really dislike yolks. I usually try to make myself eat some, but they are rank.0

I don't care for the whites. They have no taste to me. So each bite has to include some yolk or I don't like it.0

I just love eggs, I try not to buy them too often or I'd eat them all in one go! The yolk is probably my favourite though.0

this...
in truth i doubt i would waste my time just eating the whites.. unless i was making meringue of course *LOL*0 -
Depends on how ya cook them Boiled-just whites...fried-just whites...scrambled-both. I love eggs!0
-
Whole egg. I don't care much for whites without yolks or yolks without whites.0
-
Love the whole egg, but I have switched to just egg whites since logging my food. It's taking me some time to get used to.0

I'm in the same boat as you are, I've always hated eggs. There was a point in my life where just thinking about eating eggs would make me nauseous, but I've started having just the egg whites and they're great.0
-
Both, like them equally.0

the whites are great for you packed with protein with out all the fat (the fat is in the yolk) I however do like both parts. I make scrambled eggs using 1 whole egg and 1 egg white. I occasionally have an egg white omelet but thats just because I want to eat cheese on it:)0
-
I like the whites only, I have always hated yolks, except in my drinking days at 2 am then I"d have dippy eggs at some dinner with rye toast and bacon lol!0
-
I like them both equally. There are no vitamins in the egg whites just protein. All of the vitamins and minerals is in the yolk. Plus the yolk has monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats which help get of that unwanted saturated fat!!!0

As Red Foreman says when handed a plate of egg white, "But the yellow part's the baby bird. That's the part I want to eat!"0
-
Fried, scambled or devil eggs I like both
Hard boiled though I have never eaten the yolks, which my siblings loved so they also fought over my yolk LOL0 -
i go both ways!
some days i feel a lil yolky and want a sunny side up egg
some days i feel white and only want whites.0 -
The fat in the yolk are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats which get rid of saturated fats... So it is like a fat burner, people are misconceived about the yolk, and that is where all of the vitamins are too.the whites are great for you packed with protein with out all the fat (the fat is in the yolk) I however do like both parts. Or a day.
Between my husband, myself and our 2 dogs we go through at least 4 dozen eggs a week.

I prefer the whole egg but if I had to choose, I definitely prefer the yoke. Now I want some eggs :laugh:0

Hard-boiled egg whites.
ALL DAY.
Thanks for reminding me that I need to cook some. [:0 -
I love eggs, i eat them almost every day.0

Raw is pretty darn good.0

Yolk!!0

I like egg-whites, but if you're a yolk fan try this.
For every 2 egg whites do half an egg yolk. All you have to do is pinch the egg yolk and drain half of it into your eggs. You still get the flavor of the egg yolk and less calories!0 -

Might have to try that. Always looking to cut the fat.
I like eggs in all forms.0 -

Yes, but, that's also where loads of cholesterol is. They aren't bad every once in a while, but the healthy person should have less than 300 mg of cholesterol a day, and too many yolks in one day or eating them every day can elevate cholesterol levels.0 -

I LOVE deviled eggs, always have though. I will seriously eat the **** out of those things. Hard boiled I've tried, and I can tolerate the yolk with a little salt, but the white is just bleh. The only reason I eat it on the deviled eggs is because i'll look like a pig if I just eat the filling with a spoon :laugh:0 -

Yes and no.
"Concerned about the cholesterol in egg yolks? Worried about protecting your heart health? Egg yolks have long been maligned because of their cholesterol content, but cholesterol itself does not cause heart disease. In fact, while LDL, a major carrier of cholesterol in the blood, does have a role in heart disease, it is when poor metablism, deficient diets, and toxins destroy the LDL particle that heart disease develops."

Eat a couple of eggs a day! It's good for you.0
