Today has been another fusterating day. I ran one mile and thought I would walk the second and then run the third. Well while walking the 2nd I had a seizure. I'm so fusterated. Then I haven't eaten the best today either. Tomorrow isn't going to be much better because we have a birthday party to go to. And I just don't know what to do. Should I take a day off tomorrow or should I try and exercise?!?!? I don't like weekends.
j- I feel for ya.:flowerforyou: I caved and ate crap, but the good news is PMS is over and I'm down almost 5 lbs of fluid. Still far from where I'm planning to be, and this number has come up often, but I have till Wed.. I'M GONNA STAY STRONG. Cleaning day today, so that will be my exercise. I'm shocked-I'm not even that sore from yesterday.:bigsmile: That's a big accomplishment I guess.:blushing: So, I'll keep you posted how I do this evening.

Why don't they have to post calories at restaraunts?? I went to IHOP for breakfast and I tried to eat so well and I still managed to blow 1,000 calories. No wonder every one is overweight when you try to do well and still blow it! Sorry. ranting.0

I'm with you on this - restaurants should have menus with nutritional info available so those of us who are trying can be informed and then those who don't want to know or don't need to, they can have a regular menu. When we know we're going out to eat, I can look it up online but sometimes you just want to be spontaneous - without the spontaneous hidden calories :mad:0 -
I so know what you mean with resterants not posting calories. Some people just don't care and think its useless while people like us would find it useful. I think they are going to have to do something if they want us to be healthy. :flowerforyou:0

On the "ordering boards" at fast food restaurants, they should have the calories, fat, etc. listed under each item. Are the restaurants afraid that we won't eat there if we knew what was really in their food? (finally, they understand!:laugh: )0 -
I so agree-some places have the info if you ask. ie Mcd's, Tim Horton's. When I asked at Tim's so I knew what muffin I should choose, they all stared at me. But the Manager got a booklet for me. Some places have them handy or on the wall. ie McD's.
So I'm so pleased-get this.... A way back last year on my first trip with McDonald's I didn't realize at the time, because it was my first meeting, I was spewing off about Canada getting rid of their salads and only having crap for choice-poorly made, etc.. I want on and on to this guy about how ticked I was, etc. Well it was the President of McDonlad's Canada! I said how the US had such nice looking salads with choices, etc. and ours were ****. (oopsy). Anyway, I found out a couple weeks ago that that's who I yapped to, and how he was so pleased that the salads were missed...so now, they're back, with 4 new choices, and I was apparently a huge part in getting them back! Yay me.:drinker:0 -

I only walked about 1.5 miles today - my legs are still killing me from laying sod in the backyard the other day. My weight has been moving down so slowly - but I put on a pair of capris I tried on 3 weeks ago and this time I could pull them all the way up, buttoned and zipped. They aren't even tight! I wished I'd taken my measurements when I started.0

Finished day 2 of week 5 in couch to 5k - my heel is killing me....I have plantar facilitis and a spur and I can't hardly walk today....doc had put me on medication but it's the stuff that will kill your stomach and I don't want to have to take it forever - I iced the heel last night - all I can say is OUCH!!
Looking ahead to my next C25k - how in the world am I going to jog 2 miles.....I've been jogging 3/4 miles at a time with walking in between - jeez - we'll see what happens - but it won't be today unless a miracle happens with this foot...
Today is my son's 13th birthday - he asked for steak for dinner...and I'm baking him a cake (he doesn't know I'm using the diet soda recipe)

I don't know what to do. I want to workout this morning right away but I don't because of the past 3-4 days of seizures. If I rest I just don't know how long I should rest. I need advice maybe I should call my mommy. :ohwell: I would hate to have a bad day today because I'm suppose to go to my sons school today. This is when I get fusterated with my disabilty. How am I suppose to loose this weight??? :explode:0

I had a pretty good weekend, I feel great today, looking in the mirror, and pants feeling that much better.
I was playing my "pool ( 8 ball) Playoffs)" this weekend which meant I was basically in a pool hall all day saturday. Before, the day usually consisted of pop, beer, burgers, fries, pizza all day.:explode:
I came prepared this time, I thought there's no reason why I can't bring food with me, and leave it in the car. I had a good breakfast before I went.
So, I took a cooler with two peanut butter sandwiches on 12 grain bread, some Special K bars, an apple, some almonds, a yogurt, and 3-4 bottles of water. I was there from 10:30am to 9:30pm.
I didn't have a beer, or pop, and I kept drinking my water. I ate every 2-3 hours, and then for dinner this place had salads, so I ordered one. The only thing I didn't know, they poured on the dressing and then tossed the salad... Felt like there was 1/2 cup of dressing on salad.
I didn't get my workout on Friday or saturday because of my pool, so I let Tony Kick my azz in P90 Sculpt 3-4 again and burned 850 calories in < 1 hour.:happy:
Good news is my team won, and we advance to the "regionals". If we win the regionals, this team would then get an all expensed paid trip down to Las Vegas and compete for $15,000 top prize.:happy:
I will be giving my weigh in tomorrow as I'm on my way to Italy for ~ 2 weeks.

Jess-Here's the thing to remember - you are losing weight. Look what you've accomplised so far..if it's slow, it's much more permanent and who's setting a timeline - don't pressure yourself - just keep working at it and if you have days where your health doesn't allow you to exercise, that's ok - rest!0 -
Officially made it 31 days without a soda! Realized that soda's were cutting back on my water intake....if I don't drink one or two a day I was always at least at my 8/day - when I drink 1 or two-it lessened my water intake....great lesson to myself.0

Well I've been MIA.. busy here. But I did just read what I missed...
To those of you not doing so well, hang in there. The worst thing you can do is give up completely. If you have to 'take a break' a couple days from exercise or what have you, then do that! Listen to your body, sometimes our bodies are smarter than we are hehe.
To those doing well, congrats!! Keep up the good work!
I have a busy, busy day ahead of me but had to check in with ya'll... Only 2 1/2 more days of the school year for my kids.. yikes. Excited for sleeping in, not so excited for no alone time, at all. LOL0 -

Hey j, , hang in there girl, I know how you feel. With my shoulder, I sooo wanted to work out, and couldn't, and felt so helpless. Just relax, get through this and be really careful with the cals. I'm surprised I didn't gain a ton when I was on bedrest for a month, but I stuck to 1200-1400 cals, (give or take-I had to have fuel to heal), and drank a ton of ice water. You have done soo awesome and we're sooo proud of you and all you've accomplished:flowerforyou: . Don't worry, all that you've worked towards will be easy to get back if you have to take some time off. It'll be ok. :smooched: Kath0 -

Thank you everyone for your support. It means the world to me. Sometimes I feel like my family just doesn't understand. My husband just tells me not to exercise and I'm subborn and want to do it out of spit sometimes. Maybe tonight with him here I will do the wii active and that way if something happens he will be home.

GUESS WHAT - I am doing the happy dance.....I finished week5 day 3 of C25K - that's jogging 2 miles straight - no breaks - it suggests 2 miles or 20 minutes - well my two miles took me 29 minutes but I DID IT!!! I am on cloud 9!0

Just finished up Chest, Back, and abs. Feeling good and still stretching out these calves and icing the shins. I'm not letting myself use it as an excuse, I'm just sticking to p90x and laying off the running for a bit. :drinker:

Gee I hate to say it Rach, but I've noticed a happier, less stressed, stronger girl, with a ticker that's moving in the right direction. Hate to say it, but this ol' girl knows exactly what it's like to rediscover yourself! ( and I told ya things would be better...).:glasses: Right on, keep on goin'!

I just told my little bro that I wanna be down to at LEAST 185lb when he gets home from Air Force Tech School in the beginning of July. 11 more lbs to go...Now I gotta show him my stuff!

I have 340 calories left, but I'm not going to eat them since I just ate dinner. I jogged/walked for almost 30 minutes today. Usually I walked 40, but that jogging just wore me out. I didn't get in any exercise, just cardio.0

I ended up exercising today. I did the wii active and no seizures as of yet. :drinker: I feel great. So I will do the exercise in the morning tomorrow. We had tacos tonight and they were so good. I didn't put much meat on mine but loaded them with veggies and salsa. I ate one big one and then drank a small glass of milk. I'm pretty tired and hoping to make it to bed at a decent time tonight. I need to figure out my calories for today. Everyone is doing great today WTG. :drinker:0

Sorry I have been MIA this week, work has been :explode: frustrating to say the least.
I wore my new skinny pants (size16) to work last week and no one noticed and i thought maybe they had too much going on or whatever. Wore them again today and still no comments. I know i shouldn't care and to just know that i am in them, but for some darn reason it is really ticking me off, that no one noticed.
I had better make that 50 pounds lost this week or i am going to be upset. I am off of work this week starting Wednesday and I plan to work out twice each day. Once in the morning and once at night. I had better break through this slump i have going on this week.0
