  • I am a Licensed Psychotherapist and I work with mental health and substance abuse clients. I have to act like I have it all together at work but I am truly a "Physician Heal Thyself" kinda person. I am home by 1:30pm every day and all I do is scarf down high fat, high calorie foods, grab my kindle, go to bed and read until I fall asleep for 2-3 hours. I am tired of being a lazy fat *kitten* and that is why I am here!!!

I'm a desk jockey too. I'm an ethical hacker (I get paid to hack into computer systems and tell the owners how I did it so they can fix the problems). I pretty much sit at a desk in front of a computer all day so making sure I get to the gym before work, on my lunch hour or in the evening is critical. I work out 6 days a week.
  • I have my own weaving business at home. Try to do it most of the time with a 3 + 4 year old at home while my 7 + 9 year old are at school. Nice to be my own boss, but hard sometimes.
  • Primary School Teacher of Year 5/6 but I am having a years leave and I am only relieving on Thursdays and Fridays.

What do I do....well, I used to be a classroom teacher and moved around all day! On the down side of that, I had no time to eat right and exercise. Now, I'm a program manager at a university and sit a lot, but have much more time to plan food and focus on my exercises!

RN Care Manager (RN CM) - sometimes @ my desk, sometimes out @ member's homes, but a whole lot of sitting - at desk, in car, at home visits, etc.

Transitioning in two weeks to RN Clinician 2 for Department of Corrections...Yup, I'm gonna be a prison *****...er, nurse... - I assume I'll get a little more moving around in here! (and a whole lot more moola! - lol) :)
  • I am a university student, and work retail. I do lots of homework, and do not work a lot of hours, find myself sitting around eating because I am bored....not good.
  • I am a medical assistant. Majority of my day is spent at my desk answering phones and tasks that the doctors send to us.
  • Personal Banker...not a 9-5 job....more like 8:30-7

I've just gotten a new job working at a Solicitors (Lawyers) office doing Accounting and Finance. Hopefully I'll settle in quickly cause it's a nice small team. Hoping the routine will help my weightloss as well as I've been out of work for a couple of months.

My ideal job though would be working with chimpanzees/gorillas/sloths in a wildlife sanctuary so I'm hoping to be using this desk job to fund part time degree study in animal welfare/wildlife conservation.

I have a home office, so I am sitting a lot, but I also have my 1 year old home with me. The office is right off of the kitchen, so it's hard not to get tempted.
