Ladies - Sports Bra Suggestions?

I have been working out enough now that I feel ready to start jogging on the treadmill, but my boobs are out of control! Even if I wear 2 regular sports bras they move around too much and it hurts. Anyone know of a good sports bra to try? Price is definitely important to me as well.

These bras are AWESOME!!!!!! I'm a big girl...44DDD and I swear by these. I bought mine a little but smaller than what they suggest so that I could be SURE Laverne and Shirley were on lock down...lol!!!

I got 2 shock absorber sports bras. I am a 36DDD and I LOVE them! I used to wear 2 regular sports bras and always had issues but I wear 1 of these and it's perfect! I play basketball, run, volleyball, and everything is good! They are a little pricey but SO worth it!0

Hi ladies,
I don't know what the policy is on posting links on here (I really should go back and read the fine print again). I get mine from a local shop that specialises in larger sizings and they also have a website and I believe post worldwide.
You could try doing a search in google for lingerie stores in your area that sell larger sizings - that's how I stumbles across mine.
Brands I have liked in sports bras:
I used to practically live in Berlei, reasonable price & support
I tried an Elomi recently (I think the 'model' was called energize or something similar) and I can't wait to get one. Slightly pricier than the Berlei, but when I tried jumping up and down in the store I got..... no bounce!!! (Which is saying something, lol)
The sales lady also had me try another one that didn't have an underwire...and....well....:noway:
Best of luck with it all :drinker:0 -
Great question! Appreciate any websites recommended.0

shock absorber have a specific one for running B5044 is the model number, i have two of them and they are great i may not be huge but they keep my 34DDs under control whilst out running0

Lululemon Tata tamer0

I have the one from Under Armour that zips up in the front, it is great! I have 34DDs too and with this Sportsbra i can jog without even feeling anything!
It is pricey though (around $50) but totally worth it!0 -
I'm a 36DDD and I use those by Panache and the style is PS. I can jump, jog and the girls stay in place
When looking online try finding those that can support high intensity workouts.0 -
For great support:
i absolutely LOVE the TaTa Tamers II by Lululemon. This bra give you a really nice shape and hold the girls in place -- and no uni-boob. It comes with thin padded inserts for shaping, which you can remove if you don't like the extra padding The straps are really comfortable and don't dig in and the bra stays in place, doesn't ride up at all.
I have four, and wear them for running, power yoga, and all of my gym classes (cardio, weight training, kickboxing, etc).

And for lookin' pretty, the Lulu Rehearsal bra is really cute bra, too :
I like to wear this one bike riding, weight training and just around! It also comes with removable pads.

Love love love them... When I got them they were on sale for 20$ each, Now they are 30$, but so worth it. I'm a 42D.0 -
I'd recommend the Enell sportsbra. Expensive, and not in the least bit flattering, but it's the only bra that I would consider running in (without having to clamp my arms to my chest to prevent the possibility of knocking myself out)0

I am a 38DD and I have this issue too. What works for me is to wear a regular, supportive bra (no underwire) underneath and a tight compression type sports bra on top. Neither bra is very expensive. I think the two different kinds of support help. I do Zumba and jump around all over the place and they stay under control.0

I swear by Nike sports bras. Look on their website (or at a Nike outlet store near you) for the "High Impact" or "running" section Dry-Fit bras. I have found them to be the most easily accessible, keep my skin dry and provide excellent support. I have been buying them for YEARS and consistently been satisfied. They are well-made and even come in normal or bright colors. They also have reflective strips. I find them on sale for $25 (typically they are $40). ****'s Sporting Goods store also sells them.
I buy them a bit tighter (i.e. I get a Medium, when I should be in a Large) so as they break in, I still have good support. Also, if you choose to invest in such a bra, be sure to follow the washing instructions to make them last as long as possible. Something about the Dry-Fit material says do not use liquid softener and do not machine dry. You've got to air dry them without letting the fabric rest on itself. (Same goes for when the bra is all sweatty, don't toss it into the laundry basket unless you are taking it to wash right away since the fabric will rest on itself and can't breathe to dry.)
If you already have cheaper bras that don't give you enough support, try wearing an older traditional bra underneath the sports bra. it looks silly but no one will know if wear a T-shirt. Plus, this should give you enough support to get through a workout without excessively distracting jiggling.
Good Luck!!0 -
I went into lululemon to try on the tata tamers bra and I couldn't get the sucker on! Then I went to nordstrom and tried on something similar in the activewear section and same thing, none of the sports bras fit. I'm going to have to suck it up and buy a "plus size" sports bra I guess.0

Has anyone seen a good sports bra for someone in the hefty DDDs? A regular bra is just not cutting it during the 30DS.0

So at Walmart, they sell these 3-packs of Fruit of the Loom Sports Bras for about $10. I buy them a size smaller than my actual bra size and wear all three at the same time. They fit nicely together and look cute because the bras have a matching color scheme. My boobies aren't going ANYWHERE in them
I'm a 46DDD.0 -
moving comfort luna--any moving comfort that are made for high impact sports are great they changed my life0

I have the same problem, I just wear a regular bra and a sports bra over that, it seems to help a lot. What I wouldn't give for a good sports bra for these puppies. I plan on buying one from under armour soon, they have sports bras specifically for us big booby women.0

I love moving comfort bras....I'm a runner.0 -
Get a sports bra that fastens in the back like a regular bra. the ones that go over your head are too mushy to support big boobs.
Also, underwire sports bras tend to be better.
Try Champion bras, they are my favorite for support. You can find them on onehanesplace.com.0 -
shock absorber is a very good brand. And works great!!!0

I can't seem to find anything in an E cup!0

There is a great website, titlenine.com that give a good review of bras and what sizes and impact level they are good for. I'm not sure how large they go, but it might be a good place to start! Good Luck!0

I hear ya!!! They hurt when they bounce! And i HATE wearing sports bras!!! It makes it look like you have one long boob!! Sexy, i tell ya, sexy!! So i wear a regular bra under my sports bra. It works like a dream and pushes them puppies up where they are supposed to be! And i'm sure my boobs like the change of scenery!!! :noway:
Which reminds me...... I need a pedicure! :laugh:0 -
I need a sports bra, my boobs go all over the place, when jogging or doing star jumps!! I wouldn't go the gym though, think i'd be too embarrassed!! I'm a 38E,0
