Loving the program. Parts of me are popping already0

you will not get bulky unless you eat in a surpluss instead of a defecit, lift really heavy with really low reps. -- you would be eating in a defecit ..500-1000 cals obv, lifting heavy or light doesnt matter, but doing more reps instead of 8-10 reps you do 12-15 reps. i did 180 days of p90x and i am not bulky! :P0

OH MY GOD! I totally agree!! I definitely had to stop JM after about 2 weeks because I got so frustrated with hearing her say the same things OVER AND OVER again. But I think I'll definitely try P90x :DD0 -
Loved it! Tough workout but it is an amazing one!0

I lift heavy and have not gotten bulky at all. It is actually really hard for a woman to get bulky. Plus you are still doing 2 cardio workouts and yoga its not all weights.
In fact my hubby (also doing P90X) told me yesterday that my upper body and arms are starting to look like those eastern european tennis players in the australian open. I said what do you think Im getting bulky, he said no way, long lean and fit. Its super hot!
And he was the one who discouraged me from trying to lift heavy in the first place.0 -
lift heavy, not light. Really - you will get better results.
And Classic is the way the program was originally designed. Lean was only added for those afraid of the weight lifting. Unless you just feel you cannot do Classic, I would really recommend you start there. But if you need to start lean, at least move to classic at some point.
Classic will give better results, because you are working more on muscle conditioning, then lean has less of that, more cardio - which is key for men or women to look fit. You won't bulk - you will look leaner, as you drop the body fat.
I am 5'2", have done P90x 7 times, I lift very heavy 8-10 reps - and no bulk, except in areas that still had excess body fat. But as that fat dropped off, then lean sexiness was under it.
I have lost lots of inches, lost 20 pound on my last round, which was Classic doubles. (lost 60 lbs total)
What lifting heavy 2-3 times a week will do to a women.
-Higher calorie burn through 24 hours period
-Better overall fat lose
-Better Belly Fat Lose
-More definition
-Injury prevention
-Confidence Boost
-Oteoperosis Prevention
-Faster Strength Gains

I personally did not like 30 Day Shred, found it boring, and results were so so (for me) - but some really love it. So yeah, for whatever works for you.0
