What do you think about exercising when having cold? Sometimes when your body hurts it's good to exercise to relieve the pain but what if everything hurts?

I would let your body recover. Rest is best IMO. Maybe some light walking?

I've been battling a cold for the last few days. Started out with a bad sore throat and now lots of congestion and I can feel it settling into my chest. I'm bummed about not being able to exercise but I have to tell you - the scale is finally moving! I've been working out a lot since October and this is my first real "rest". Inches have been coming off, but the scale just wasn't moving much until this week. Not sure what is going on, but I will take it. (Though, I can't wait to get in the gym again!)

Its happens to all of us. I was just sick as well the week after new years. I just took it easy, ate right, and made sure I was drinking LOADS of water. Plus the oranges are in season so I have loads of those to eat lol.

I found that as soon as I make an excuse not to work out or take a few days off my motivation suffers and I quickly start sliding more. So even if I'm sick I'll still go to the gym and do something to keep the motivation and routine going. However I agree lots of fluids are important to move the bad stuff out. I was eating healthy and the combination of foods gave me an infection. So now I'm laid up for 4-5 days with no workout and I'm bummed. If I could walk I would get to the gym or at least go to the store and by some of the green tube/bands to do something other than just sit here watching it snow.
