Cereal

Post workout I have one of two things:
1. Bowl of Special K
2. Egg, 2 pc bacon, cheese on a thin bun
the second is sooo much more filling, but requires a little more effort nonetheless....
Special K is sucking a big one, right now, I at at 5:45 this morning, and my tummy's already growling....
Anybody got any better cereal suggestions? I'd like to keep it under $4 a box, and in the Midwest region. I can at least get Special K on sale every once in a while which has been my pitch for it.
THanks!

True that Acg67.
I was somewhat surprised on the calories I figured it would be higher than that.0 -
Uncle Sam Whole Wheat cereal with flaxseed is pretty good.0

I like Chex, but I know that is kind of boring. How about a granola cereal with more crunch and other goodies in it like almonds or pieces of fruit?0

I am a fan of most of the Kashi cereals, and I can find coupons for them pretty often.0

True that..
But on a day to day, I end up eating Kashi Go Lean, or Kashi Blueberry Mornings when I'm having cereal.0 -
kashi brand golden goodness...yummy0

I find oatmeal fills me up and is quite nutritious. I just put half a cup of old fashioned oatmeal and just under a cup of milk in a bowl, microwave for 2-2.5 minutes and it is ready. To make it sweeter you can add raisins/cranberries/sliced banana...whatever works for you really.0

They are all mostly carbs and so you may get the hungry feeling regardless. I don't know.... I really hate cereal for that reason.0

You can stick with the Special K but add some nuts to it. Other than that, try a cereal that has nuts...the protien/fiber combination is what keeps you full.0

Marshmallow Froot Loops... man I love that stuff. Haven't had it for several years though.0
