HI, I'm thinking about starting the 30Day Shred program (by Jillian Michaels). I found it on YouTube so I dont have all the information, I dont know exactly how it works, except there are 3 levels, and each level must be done for 10 days.. Those 10 days are consecutive or can I do it every other day? If I'm a begginer in working out, won't it be too much?? And more important, what do think of it??

I bought the Shred and for a short workout it is good. However, I am easily bored and so I couldn't stick with doing the same workout every day. I do think it is a good addition to the other DVD's I have and perfect for those days when I am short on time.

You move on when you feel strong enough to. It doesn't really matter if it even takes you 30 days on phase 1. I really like her program and I have actually gotten a lot stronger a lot quicker than I thought I would. In fact, I am thinking about trying phase 2. As for doing it every other day. I was told by other people who are workout fanatics not to do it every day. And if you feel like you want to work out everyday then do some thing else like walking on the treadmill. That way it gives your muscles time to heal.

I'm currently doing the 30 Day Shred (Restart)

My first time around I did Level 1 for consecutive days jumping right into Level 2 for another consecutive days. When I started Level 3 I got sick (chest cold) an couldn't continue. There was some muscle soreness the first two days but after that I was fine. The total workout is a little over 20 min due to a warmup and cool down period. It's considered circuit training which is one of the best workouts out there.

Like other MFP members I got bored with Level 1even though I had a little trouble with the cardio portion I found it to be very easy. I love Level 2 & 3 because they are harder, more intense and kept my interest.

    Hope my $0.02 helped

I log it as a circuit training since that is what it is. I have been doing it for about two weeks now and have already seen great results. I do not do it every day. I do it three times a week and another two days of aerobics class. Week one was tough for me but week two got a lot easier. next week I will go on to level 2 and see what that is about. I wonder if it is way harder than level 1. They say that circuit training is the quickest way to weight loss. I finally found something that is working for me.

Ok, that was inspiring, since I've been lookign for something that works for me. I'm looking forward to my first shred tomorrow morning!! I plan to shred 3 times per week, and wog (walk/jog) the rest of the day.

    Thank you very much!!
