Boob jobs...

I'd never have one. I used to wish mine were bigger, but I'm over that now. I went up an entire cup size when I changed to a different birth control pill, and they haven't gone down even though I've lost a bit of weight...I'm not concerned. If they shrink, they shrink. If they stay bigger, that's cool, too. It's just flesh.0

Honestly if it's what YOU want to do..then who cares what other people's opinions are..I'm getting them done in March and I can't wait! Do I need them? No. But I want them to make me feel better about myself when I look in the mirror. It's a personal decision and I don't believe that by getting them it makes you a fake person or not appreciating how you look. It's enhancing how you look and boosting your self esteem. I say go for it girl!!!0

Small boobs are nice, big boobs are nice, actually all boobs are nice - except moobs - don't get a boob job.
Really, you are so cute0 -

So cup size does go down when you drop below a certain body fat %?? That explains it maybe. BLAH!0
-
I got mine done over 5 years ago & I love them. It was one of the best things I've ever done for myself! That being said, don't let anyone tell you that you should or shouldn't. It's a personal decision that only YOU can make.... Good luck!0

I hope mine shrink as I lose weight
44D/DD sometimes...what a pain in the a**...or should I say chin, when I work out!!!0 -
my wife got a boob job after her 1st pregnancy and trust me its a very good investment......... wink wink.0

Ive always wanted a boob job and thats one of my major changes when I reach my goal weight. I have a small B...always been small even tho everyone else in my family has large C's. I think the look of fake boobs are better than natural lol Can't wait to get mine!!0

Boobs are like mountains of gold - god bless them!0

I have giant boobs, even at 98 lbs, I was curvy, so losing weight has never made me "lose" my boobs, although there are a couple awkward weeks here and there in the process of weight loss where they seem to be the only area losing fat, push through, the rest of your body should catch up, and you will be proportional in no time.
That being said, my best friend had a boob job last year, there were no complications, they look great, and she was just sore for a couple days after. I think it really depends on your body, and what you are most comfortable with. Good luck whatever you decide to do, dear.0 -
Respectfully, I personaly think smaller boobs are more desirable. I don't subsribe to the mammoth boobs=super hottie notion. Smaller ones are shapely and more pleasing. They accentuate, not dominate.0

I'm saving for a reduction. I'm a full H cup & let me tell you they are wrecking my back. And I can't remember the last time I had a full night sleep. If I sleep too long in one position I'm woken up with lower back pain. And I have to sleep on 2 pillows, lower than that & my boobs smother me.
But there is no way I'd have implants even if the Dr tells me I'd have a better result. Far too many side effects, the biggie is rupture. And all implants can rupture under the correct conditions not just the PIP implants that are all over the European news ATM. Then there is encapsuation and implants that move or twist round.
I'd rather be a member of the little-tittle club.
IMO clothes hang better & look better when you have smaller or average boobs. And you have a much wider choice of outfits, what looks cheap & tarty on me looks stylish on a smaller chested friend. And people tend to treat you like a 'dumb blonde' when you're busty.
I'm neither dumb or a blonde.:explode:
All in all I truly don't see the advantage to having ginormo boobs unless you are in the adult industry. But that is just my opinion, based on over 35 years of luggin' these girls around with me!
Oh! and I'm luck, my man is a butt guy.:laugh:0 -

I got mine done 3 years ago after baby #1.. The recovery is nothing to worry about and I'm glad I did it. Wait till after you have kids though, cause you have no idea what you will look like after having them.0

I really want mine to shrink..
I think a C would be nice.. I can never find D's or DD's in the stores anyway.
I mean I love them and all, they make me feel sexy.
But they're too much of a pain.
In school, when we were painting, I had to sit down because of how much they hurt my back.. I got yelled at.
If they don't I'd even consider a breast reduction. I told my mom that, she thinks I'm just silly.0 -
Go for it! Just don't go for the whole HH porn star look. Also, you may want to wait till after kids, because with pregnancy they change ALOT. My aunt went from a B/C to a DD.0

Several ladies at my gym have implants. My opinion will be unpopular on this, but I don't like them. I can understand if you're very small and just want to look proportional, or if you're doing a reconstruction after a mastectomy, but otherwise, I don't think they're worth the risk. There's always a risk (however small) of infection, and of course, death, plus the risk of the anesthesia. There WILL be a scar, no matter how small, and often there is loss of sensitivity of the nipple, especially if you get a breast lift.
None of the women I know do any chest work at the gym. They can't, because of their implants. Go under the muscle, and they look more natural but limit your exercise. Go over the muscle and you can do more lifts, but they look faker. And lately, the trend is to go bigger and bigger. I see these relatively small women with ridulously huge boobs that are obviously fake. They look like they're about to topple over. The men follow them around the gym like they're dogs in heat since they always wear very tight and low-cut tops to show off their assets.
As an older woman who lost weight, I did research it, but decided it wasn't worth the potential risk, scarring, loss of sensitivity, and detriment to my lifting regime. Plus, the thought of bags of chemicals stuffed in my chest kind of grosses me out. I would never give up my chest workouts just to get more male attention. If a man doesn't like mine the way they are, then he can hit the road.
I recomend you do LOTS of research, and not just what your surgeon tells you. Bodybuilding.com has many threads in the Women's section about this, discussing the pros and cons. No matter what the doctor tells you, it IS a major surgery, and carries the risks that come with that. Make an informed decision, and best of luck either way.0 -
This is one of my biggest fears as well. Me being about 237 pounds and only being a very small B cup has me freaked. Everyone, EVERYONE tells me that you lose your boobs when you lose weight. Well, I don't really have much to lose in that department so I'm scared I might end up being pretty much flatchested. But, at this point, I'm just willing to take the loss. Between the cost, the maintenance, the possible issues, and the fact that I want to have kids someday and want to breastfeed keep me far away from getting one.0

When it doubt.. just do it!0

I've been pretty much flat chested for forever and have never been comfortable with it. Also with my luck I'll lose what I already have. After I get to a my ideal weight, I know I'll have loose tummy skin and no boobs, so I plan on getting both a tummy tuck and a boob job. That will help me finally be comfortable with myself. I'm doing it for me and no one else. It's my body and I have to live with it.
Also those PIP implants people are referring to happened in Europe....not the states so I'm sure we don't have to worry about that much.0 -
I'm totally getting a boob job one day. No qualms about it.0

I understand the importance of a healthy body image in ones own eyes but never for a moment think that you are defined as a person by the size of your breasts.
You are pretty, that is obvious,so let yourself be the best person you can be and let a guy fall for you.
Anyone that would only be interested in you as long as you are a certain breast size is not worth having around.
It's not about the size. You can't even begin to imagine what happens to the "girls" if you lose a significant amount of weight.
It's the sickening feeling when you look at yourself in the mirror and see things that don't even look like boobs! Never mind the fact that they fall out of the bra and move with the breeze!
I've lost 70 lbs and waited for almost 15 years to finally fix my girls so they don't look deformed anymore! : ) I am done having kids so breastfeeding is not an issue for me....0 -
I'm getting one. One way or another, I AM GETTING ONE!!! I finally found a place I can afford and I have friends who have had theirs done there. I'm actually scheduling a consultation as we speak!0

Nah. I really like my boobs the way they are. As long as I stay healthy and active I have no worries about sagging or any other weirdness. Plus I wouldn't want something artificial in my body that you have to replace every 15-20 years and could have problems with. I really feel as a woman we should be able to flaunt what we have and not have to be pressured to look like the artificial people in a porn magazine.
I can totally understand those that have a flat chest and would feel lacking in the woman department but I really think if your husband/mate loves you truly they shouldn't care what you look like naturally. Plus we have the magic of push up bras and other fillers.
I guess it is just about priorities and fake stuff isn't one of mine.0 -
Have a look at this website http://www.007b.com/
It contains pictures of normal breasts in a non sexualized way for women to learn what real bodies look like - not photoshopped, airbrushed for educational purposes and to make you feel better about what you already have. Many people have praised this site, men included.
That's great... thanks for sharing... I nursed my son for 19 months and I grew up with my summers in Italy where topless beaches were the norm, the boob thing was never a big deal to me.0 -
I have them and I love them.
Do your research on government websites or places that have factual information. If silicone worries you just get saline.
Don't let people who hate on implants deter you from doing something you want that makes you feel good about you. Also, on the flip side, don't let society pressure you into doing something to your body unless you are 100% sure that the pros/cons are worth your goals and what YOU want for you.
There is a lot of negativity about implants out there but once you get past peoples opinions you will find they aren't as bad as they are made out to be.
PIP is a brand that isn't even used in the states. The two brands that are used here are very closely regulated by the FDA.
Good luck in whatever you decide.
It may also be helpful to sign up on websites like Just Breast Implants. That site has forums where women who are considering, going to get or already have them talk about them, complications, success stories and are great at answering questions you might have.0 -
And before I get flamed or torn to pieces about my choice...
I was completely flat. Even when I was breast feeding I still didn't fill a cup. I love myself, I love my body, I even loved my little boobs but I wanted to look feminine in my clothes.0 -
When I get to my goal weight I want a breast reduction!!!! 40g/h, I would love to be a DDD or a solid DD!!! I just would love not to have to order my bras on the internet! I want to fit into sexy & cute bras!!!!!!!0
-
I'd just be scared it'd ruin my lifts (very important to me)
and honestly? even being barely an "A", i've never heard a man complain
If performance athletically wasn't so important to me, i MIGHT have considered them...0
