I have a pair of Nike MaxAir shoes that I work out in and they feel fine, but when I go walking they kill my feet and I get blisters on my heels. Does anyone have a suggestion on a good pair of walking shoes or what I should look for when choosing a shoe. Im new to all this so im a little clueless... Any help will be appreciated! Thank you!

Ohh! I'm going to bump this because I, too, have been having issues with my current walking shoes. My feet kinda ache so I wanted to look into a good pair. Can't wait to see some suggestions!

Honestly, the best thing you can do is go to a proper running shoe store and have them evaluate you for a good pair of shoes. They should make you walk around the store or on a treadmill to evaluate your gate and help you get a good pair. A good pair will cost about $100, but it will be so worth it if you plan to walk a lot.

As a letter carrier, aka mail lady. I have tried most shoes. The best ones in my experience are saucony triumph 9's. I walk about 6 km or more a day and have never had any issue with my feet while wearing them. I tried different brands but keep coming back to them. Also if you just want a walking shoe, try merrells. They are a hiking shoe but are so comfortable as well. Your shoes will cost you about 100-150 but your feet will thank you:)

I went to a new balance store and had custom feet measuring done. I ended up with a pair of stability shoes called 940's. They are for walking and jogging. I have a collapsed arch and these shoes have a roll bar built into the sole that prevent you from rolling your foot too far in (over pronating) which is an issue with flat feet. They also had soles with arch support which I've always needed, but they had a pair that had metatarsal support with memory foam cushion. This is the first time in my life I have jogged without foot pain. It's like running on air, my feet are relaxed and don't cramp up and burn like they used to.

Moral of the story, custom fitting is a miracle.
