I'll list the things I wouldn't want to live without:
1. Real workout clothes. Cotton is wonderful, until you sweat. Then it's the enemy.
2. Running shoes.
3. Heart rate monitor with GPS.
4. A running hat. Sounds silly, but this is a really important piece of equipment for me.
5. BodyGlide
Food scale is really, really important and should probably be numbered 0.5, but I didn't have to buy one...0 -

Depends on what type of exercise you do. Indoors, you can't go wrong with Polar.
Outdoors, if you like running, cycling, etc. then Garmin makes great ones with GPS built in.0 -

an xbox 360 w/ kinect! motivates me to workout everytime i'm bored at home! and if it's a rainy day or too cold to do any cardio outside, i know i can just turn that on, so i have no excuse! also perfect for my busy schedule since i don't always have time to make it to the gym before they close!0
