Hello all!! was on WW for 14 weeks and lost and re gain.lost and regained..last weigh in, had gained and so total weight loss was only 4 lbs for 14 weeks. Followed program most days..slacked during holidays ..Try to get in 30-40 minutes exerrcise three times a week at the gym. Really didnt see results i hoped for and know i have to change some of my ways and stick more to program on weekends but feel I know what i need to eat and the money I was giving to WW wasnt making me happy. Friend recommended this site as I def need to log my food. Not a big fan of meetings and can just as easily buy myself a scale. So here i go...Nice to meet you all. Hoping to lose 20 lbs by summer!!

My name is Jackie..Im 53 ..work at a desk(ugh) doing very stressful customer service work. Have two great kids, one still at home and a wonderful loving partner of 7 years:heart: ...Live down the shore in Jersey and love the outdoors, photography, music, reading, cooking and my family!!

  • Hi Jackie,
I am a WW refugee also ( love that name by the way). I lost over 60 pounds on WW after my daughter ( 10) years ago.Five years ago I got a sedentary job and started gaining ( and i stopped going to meetings). So last year, I rejoined WW and was very dedicated. I lost 30 of the 60 pounds. Well, when the new points system started, I started gaining everything back. I gained back 25 of the 30 pounds I lost. I decided this year, NO MORE fad diets. I will do this naturally. Each time I gained back, I gained back more.
  • Oh, feel free to add me if you want.

Hi Jackie! Same boat! Lost with WW, but couldn't keep it off. I don't know if if was too gimmicky or what, but this just seems so much easier for me to do (and the price sure if right)! I have been here since October, but really started working at it as of January. I am 50 (next week), live on the other side of the country - Arizona, three kids (grown but at home in college or high school) wonderful very supportive hubby (except when he's hungry-LOL!) and work from home, so it is probably a little easier then you have it to get exercise. I would love to share support along the journey, please feel free to add me!

I'm a 2-time refugee myself. Couldn't lose weight after the first two weeks. After talking to my doctor I found out that I have several metabolic conditions that made WW completely inadequate. My dietitian's plan has been really helpful in getting my first 50 pounds off. Best of luck to you here!

    Hi,
I was trying to decide whether or not to do WW. Seems to work miracles for some. But I don't know how I feel about going to meetings. Anyway......I'm aiming to lose 40lbs. Have lost 3 so far...........seems like a very long way to go.
I'm determined but gosh doesnt life get in the way too often.
  • I lost over 50 lbs on WW and was 10 lbs away from my goal....then they changed to the PointsPlus (and then I quit smoking) - now I have 30 lbs to go before I reach my goal weight. Hoping to do that by my birthday in July. And feel free to add me too
  • Hi All, I am a WW refugee also! I lost 30 lbs with WW in 2006. I gained all of it back plus another 30lbs or so. I don't think WW does a good job of teaching you how to keep the weight off. I think WW allows you to cheat too much. So here I am exercising and eating right and sticking to it this time! This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. NO more fad diets for me either! Good luck to you all.
