EATING my PINT of ICE CREAM...

You may have just saved my husband's life!0

Thanks so much for posting this! I'm a carb junky and this will definitely hit the spot! I check the Arctic Zero store locator and there is a Whole Foods a mile and a half from where I work that sells it... Ekkkkkkkkk!!!!!0
-
I've never eaten a whole pint of ice cream. Just doesn't sound good.
I'd rather have 1/2 cup of GOOD ice cream (like the Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie I had last night) than a whole pint of "diet" ice cream. Ick.
You aren't alone. I tried this Arctic Zero stuff (it is not ice cream) out of curiosity. It is disgusting. I prefer to slowly savor some Ben and Jerry's or Trader Joe's real ice cream.0 -
If it is not sold in your county try this!
Need an ice cream maker (or google ziploc method)
MOCHA
1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder
1 cup unsweetened almond milk - vanilla or chocolate
1 tsp decaf instant coffee crystals.
Blend well, then prepare in either ice cream maker or ziploc method.
MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP
1.25 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 tsp mint extract
2-3 Tbsp chocolate chips
CINNAMON SPICE
1.5 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk
Sprinkle of Cinnamon
Sprinkle of Nutmeg
Sprinkle of Cardamom (*optional)
1/2 tsp vanilla (pure)
Blend well, then prepare in either ice cream maker or ziploc method.
APPLE PIE
1.5 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk
1 green apple, peeled & diced
1 tsp of Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Sprinkle of Cardamom (*optional)
1/2 tsp vanilla (pure)
1 Tbsp butter
In a bowl, combine the diced apple, butter, vanilla & spices. Microwave in 30 second increments until apples are soft. Stir.
In a blender, combine protein powder & almond milk (and stevia if using). Blend Well.
Mix protein powder/almond milk with apples and stir.
Add to ice cream maker or prepare with ziploc method.
**DO NOT BLEND THE APPLE MIXTURE**0 -
I tried the Vanilla Maple and the Chocolate Peanut Butter.. didn't much like either one and they both went down the drain (hubby doesn't know how expensive that little diet experiment was!).
The taste seemed too fake to me and the consistency was more like ICE than ice cream.. am curious to know if I had pre-melted it a bit as some have suggested if I'd like it better, but would rather just savor the good stuff on the rare occasion I get it. If I'm paying that much for a pint, I'd rather splurge of REAL ice cream from the Creamery we have downtown!0 -
soooooo.... the market down the street from my house sales this. Ive had a wicked PB and chocolate craving all day. Anyone know if its worth getting out in the cold to get it?? *drool*0
-
How expensive is it compared to regular icecream?0
-
I tried to like it - I really did...but it tasted like watery fish paste. Aww bother. =(
This. I'd rather use 150 calories on 1/2 c of REAL ice cream than on a pint of that crap.0 -
this just made my day...seriously...you have no clue.0
-
wonder if they have soy based. lactose intolerant, but freaking love to have me some ice cream....mmmmmm0
-
Oh man, wish they had these in the UK! The website is making me want some!0

to each their own. i wasnt impressed the first time i tried it but once i did the ol nuke of the microwave method it changed my mind and all the flavors have grown on me. as for fish paste...i cant stand anything from the sea and cant even be in the same room when fish is cooking so this definitely isnt what i would consider watery fish paste. i personally LOVE it now. it is great in protein shakes too to whomever asked about the peanut butter chocolate...its awesome. i always throw some sugar free hersheys chocolate syrup on it too. yum yum.0 -
So, here I am eating a whole pint of cookies n cream ice cream. HAVE NO FEAR its a total of 150 calories, 24 carbs, 8g fiber, 20g sugar, and 14g of protein for the WHOLE PINT!!!! so, i even drenched it in sugar free chocolate syrup. If you havent heard of Arctic Zero ice cream replacement you are missing out and should search your local markets Actually you can go right to Arc tic Zeros website and they have a store locator. im in love. Pumpkin SPice is my favorite. ..
:laugh:0 -
Just looked at the store finder and found out that the headquarters are only 10 miles from my house! It is all over the place here. I will have to try it. I can't believe I havent tried it before.0

Nope, not worth it IMO.0 -
I personally find Arctic Zero to be quite tasteless and gross. However, I LOVE Carbawhey soft serve style! There's a low carb market close by my place that makes it, and it's DELICIOUS! So much better than Arctic Zero. I'm just lucky to be in close proximity of the store, cause it doesn't look like there are many places that serve it soft-serve style.
I might have to give Arctic Zero another shot though, maybe I just tried the wrong flavors.

After reading a post about this ice cream, I was like heck yea...and went out to buy some! YUCK!!!!! It tastes like a frozen watered down protein shake....bleh
Love, Love,Love the no sugar added 40 cal. fudgesicles!0 -
I have to say ... Reading all of the excited people just dying to have "ice cream" again. I was, too, one of these excited people thinking wow "it's too good to be true". Hate to burst the bubble, but it is too good to be true. It's even called "ice cream replacement" I want ice CREAM. Not frozen whey protein and 90 percent water mixture frozen into a tasteless pint shaped block. It's worth a try, but I personally wouldn't go driving some crazy distance to try this product. It's okay for what it is, I guess. I know I felt this way upon discovering pb2 which, to me, lives up to the hype. Some people hate it though. Eh. To each their own.0

It's good for those of us lactose intolerant so you're good to go!0
