I don't have an HRM (yet). Those of you that use them, are MFP calories burned close to what what your HRM is showing?

It's been my experience that the MFP calorie burn is much higher than my HRM readouts. I started getting much better results with wt loss once I got my HRM FT7, it is very accurate I think. I think I was overeating because I was eating back "all" of my excercise calories. Interestingly, on my excercise bike it has calories burned and FAT calories burned. I used to go by calories burned when I was logging but when I got my HRM it was more accurate to the FAT calorie burned reading, so sometimes if I'm on a machine and I don't have my HRM on but it gives me Fat calorie burned I use that as my logged number of calories. :flowerforyou:

I experience the same thing - MFP gives a higher burn than my HRM, so I stick with what my HRM tells me. I'd hate to be eating back MFP calories thinking I'm doing a good job and no losing, or worse - gaining weight!
