Starting here and now

I got myslef into this mess, and I need to be the one to get me out of this mess!
goal setting seems to be the key, so I've set a goal of loosing half my body weight by June 2013, Glastonbury!,

Ive faced up to the fact that I need more help than I want to accept and am doing a weightmanagement course, have a referal to the eating disorder service, and am working on being kind to myslef.

Good start?

    Sounds like a great start!! One suggestion... try setting yourself some smaller, more achievable goals, kind of like stepping stones along the journey. One big goal can be overwhelming. Some days my goal needs to be no bigger than "stay out of the cupboards".

    No question at all. Especially the part about being kind to yourself. I struggle with that, too. Being gentle with myself will be particularly important for the times when I fail.

    Thank you for taking time to reply,

    I have some smaller goals, every 7lbs = a troll or pandora bead,
    and each 25lbs is a spa day


    Im sure I can think of somemore little treats along the way -

    this weeks goal was to simply wear my pedometer, next week Im upping the steps 10%,
