When weighing food, meat, for calorie count is it done before cooking or after??

    You choose - then look in the database for an entry for "rice dry" v "rice cooked", "chicken breast raw" v "chicken breast grilled".
    Most of the entries on the MFP database are entered by users which means that if the entry just says "rice" or "chicken breast" there is no way of telling if it is cooked or raw, everyone has a different opinion of what is "right".

    Usually the label will say the preparation method for which the nutrition facts were calculated.

    Bones don't count in the weight for serving sizes.
