I saw that and responded on there. The awesomeness cannot be denied. A person who owned up to his issues and took control of his life without trying to find a shortcut... I admire him.0

No doubt impressive and commendable. That's a lot of solid work. Very inspiring. Anyone else wonder how you get to that point though? Almost 600 pounds...that's crazy.0

"I think what gets lost in the advertisements and everything that's written about weight loss is that if people would keep it simple, that everyone has that power in them. You can change your life."
I like this quote from the article.0 -
So glad you shared I hope people read and realize from his story it can happen for ANY and ALL of us!!!!!!!0

We lost a good friend of ours about a month ago from complications of long-term morbid obesity. He died from a pulmonary embolism at age 49 after a massive heart attack.
I'm so happy to see this guy make it alive out of that situation. Many do not.0 -
Wow! Makes my problems seem so small!
Very inspirational!0 -

It isn't as hard as you may think... I have always said there wasn't alot of difference between 400lbs, and 560 lbs. Just about 18 months.............0 -

Ditto. Your work is equally impressive.
Interesting to hear from someone who has lived it.0 -
After reading his struggle, I feel like I'm dodging a bullet by getting my weight in hand now. Being strong, losing and maintaining a healthy body weight and living a better lifestyle so as to avoid a lot of the hell people go through is essential. What a reenforcement for the reasons we are all here.
Thanks for sharing.0 -
There's a DJ I heard whose just undergone gastric bypass. It makes me very sad because in her soundbites she says, "I tried everything." when I read her blog of what she'd tried, it was every fad diet. She doesn't talk about eating healthy and exercising more.0

Well done to him. However in my humble opinion surgery is not a short cut. Not everybody CAN drop 270lbs unaided and then keep it off forever. It doesn't make us less deserving.0

Yeah, but, how did I let myself get to "HERE"? - same difference... different day. He finally got the message and he finally did something about it. There but for the grace...0 -
I kind of get how he got there. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would get to 330 pounds....and I did. Not saying that its the same as 600 pounds, but its so easy to say "I will never let myself weigh over 250, 300, etc etc" and one day you wake up and you are in some other body you don't even recognize.0
