I started today and i forgot how much i hated it..yet i feel great...ugh. mixed feelings.
Question for you all..what do you put in for exercise on here. There's spots for cardio, and strength and a '30 day shred' option is not available0 -
Question for all those doing 30 day shred...are you planning on only doing each level for 10 days or staying on each level until you have mastered it??? Feel free to add me!
I'm doing it for 10 days..... And based on how difficult I'm finding it, it will take me that long to be ready to step up!!0 -
Most people log it as circuit training. Or you can find out how many cals circuit traning burns for your size, then make your own exercise type of 30 Day Shred. Thats what Ive done0

Im upto Day 6. Doing it Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat along with my C25k.
Finding its getting easier, just sore legs that need lots of stretching throughout the day. Will complete 10 days of each and I need to get some handweights- still using cans of corn :P0 -
Getting ready to do D2L1 here in about 45 mins! I have to admit, my legs are a tad sore, and Im a tad nervous, and I don't concider myself out of shape lol. Just gotta keep PUSHING! I keep telling myself and it might help others as well...."Suck it up princess, if you would have done this months ago you wouldn't be where you're at now!" And I don't want to have to say the same thing in august when I'm getting married!0

I was using soup cans before. Today was my first day with weights and all I can say is WHAT a difference. I did little baby 3 lb weights out of fear I'd kick my own *kitten*. LOL.
But it's certainly a change!0 -
Question....
Do you still move on after 10 days even if you're still modifying the workout? I don't do a full push up nor do I do the buttkicks where I kick myself in the tush!0 -
OMG D2L1 complete!!! going downstairs....pretty much SUCK!0

I'm loving 30 DS! I managed 5/7 days in my first week and so far I've managed 2/4 days in my 2nd week. It's starting to get slightly easier (only slightly!) and tonight I actually managed to do a fair but of it at 'Natalie's' level!
I am also noticing a difference in my curves, my hips are slightly smaller and my 'apron' tummy is a bit smaller! Noticing this in the shower tonight has REALLY spurred me on to keep going!
The two things that I WILL NOT do so I don't become discouraged is:
Weigh myself more than once a week- what the scale says on a daily basis will change based on water retention etc. to get a truer sense of weightless stick to the same day each week and roughly the same time if poss.
Also I WILL NOT measure myself until the end of the 30 days. I know that if I measured now and the tape was unchanged I'd wanna give up!
So far I have lost 10 lb and can notice a difference in myself, not just my appearance but in my confidence too.0 -
Also I SUCK at the push ups and cannot even manage 'Anita's' level so I do my own version stood up leaning into the wall and pushing out and then back in.
By doing this I don't feel like a failure on the first circuit!!0 -
So random, but I also started the 30 day shred on Monday. I would definitely love to be apart of this group for some support! Jillian really knows how to kick your butt!0

D3L1 DONE!! I felt GREAT today!! Really, feel like level 1 will be completed by friday and ready to start level 2 next week!! I really do need weights though, I feel like I'm cheating with no weights, but to be fair I have a bad arm injury.0

Anybody on D1L2 today?0
-
D4L1 DONE! It's getting much much easier, very ready for L2. but will wait till tuesday like I said I would!0
-
I have started it last month I am on d15 but would love to do this on Monday!0
-
I'm in...actually borrowed this from the neighbor last night and started it last night, getting ready for Day 2 let's go!0

So how's everyone finding it? I had yesterday as a rest day, and hit the gym today, but tomorrow, I'm stepping up to lvl 2.
Personally, I am loving it, but I really struggle with the first strength set, I find my shoulders give out mid way though the squats, and I have to drop down to my knees midway through the second set of push ups.
However, it is definitely working. My weigh in day is tuesday, and I had dropped .5kg, and lost half an inch from my waist and chest, so it is definitely working for me
I'm dreading level two though!!0 -
Some of these comments are making me laugh and scared all the same time. If I can get the dvd I will start also! It's been sold out each time I try. Is it safe to start it when I just recently started exercising after being on bed rest for having a baby??? Are you creating a group for us to join?0

So I did Level 2 of Ripped in 30 on Tuesday and my upper body is still too sore to move....I have volleyball tonight & usually I do the dvd before V-ball but I don't know if that will happen tonight...on that note. I'm ready fpr spring baby!0

I did Level 2, Day 5 yesterday. I have lost inches already, 3 on around my waist and 1 on each thigh!! Haven't lost much in actual weight but I can feel myself really losing the inches and my arms/shoulders feel a LOT more muscular. I find Level 2 super challenging, I have to take a break occasionally and the strength portion in the 3rd circuit is just ridiculously killer, my shoulders just burn on those v-raises. But I am NOT giving up, I will see this through til Level 3 Day 10!! I also really HATE plank jacks. OMG they make my whole body burn but I guess that's the point! I have started training for a 5K using the "Couch to 5K" app and so some days I do the dvd then do my 30 minute training run and I find that the workout helps my running and the running helps my workout so I recommend extra cardio in conjuncion - I can maintain the 2 minutes of cardio in the dvd SO much better than I could at the start. I hate Jillian some days but she is getting me results!0

Just started the 30DS and I thought, how bad can it be for 20 mins after doing gym/treadmill for days. Omigosh - it was a killer! So much for my hubris
Had a question for the other shredders - is it okay to do so many jumping jacks with a knee that used to give me trouble? or should I try some modification. she doesn't give any flexibility there
Also - what weight should the dumbell be? the lightest one at home was 3 kg (each) and it felt like slabs of concrete after 10 raises during squats.0 -
Just bought 30 day shred today to bump up my workouts before a trip to Florida in 25 days but reading this thread has me scared lol0
