    Ask yourself one question.

Is a glass a standard unit of measurement...or is a cup?

And if that proves difficult...try reading what it actually says on the food diary...
    "Water Consumption
We recommend that you drink at least 8 cups of water a day. Click the arrows to add or subtract cups of water."

So, are you like, trying to say that it's cups? Super helpful

I have no idea what they are talking - cups or glasses...but I think it is cups...

To determine how much water you should be drinking you should divide your weight in pounds by half.

Convert this number to ounces. This is the amount of water you should try to drink each day. For instance, a 160 lb. man should attempt to drink 80 oz. of water per day.

Yikes! That would put me at 185 OZ of water a day........:grumble:

I had the same question a while back. I believe it's 8 cups. I've been drinking 64 oz per day. Or at least trying like hell. And that's pretty much what I go by. I have a nice sized water bottle and I need to drink two of them to meet my goal.

I went online to some website (can't remember which) and entered my height, weight, and activity level and it said to drink 64 oz per day.

It's hard for me but I'm improving.

some of you might like this idea so i thought i would pass it along......I have to drink AT least 132 ounces of water/day (my weight divided by 2) for my diet and the taste of water is not that exciting to me like pop (of course) so I do the following.......

    32 oz fountain cup w/straw
    ice 1/4 way full
    2 TBSP lemon juice
2-3 packets of sweet n low

Hope this will help some of you to drink your water goal each day......

PS......ALWAYS looking for new MFP friends!!!

Wow, some of you are jerks! It was a simple question...if you don't care or just feel like taking out your miserable lives on others, do us all a favor and start a thread where you can all get together and act superior...thanks.
