Trying to lose 50 lbs and need some friends for support!

I am new to all of this so i havent been able to friend anyone. I am trying to lose about 50lbs doing Atkins and would love to have friends who have the same goals. I am very supportive but when it comes to myself I lack in that area. That is where i am hoping some of you come in. So please add me if you like! Have a wonderful day! :flowerforyou:

    Just started the program on Tuesday. Out to lose 30-40 pounds myself. Not following any specific diet plan, just watching what I eat and keeping it healthy. I will send you a request and good luck to you.

    My goal is pretty much 50 pounds. Yikes! I'd like to join a group for support and encouragement. I'm eliminating 2 problem food categories. Most of all, I'm doing the most work on behavior modification a la the super-smart Judith Beck and Martha Beck (both brainiac Ph.Ds, no relation). Their methods are really helpful, but it's hard to stick with them.

    Add me if you wish, starting out I had about 60 pounds to lose and have so far lost 24.. I am also doing a Atkins like diet so we could be good to exchange recipes if you'd like.. I log daily ... The more encouragement you get in a goal like this the better..

    I am trying to lose about 40 pounds, not doing adkins but trying to keep under 100 carbs a day. Friend me--- we CAN DO THIS!

    My ultimate goal is around 85-100. I've lost 30 so far, but i have a long way to go. I've been on MFP for a few months, but just recently started looking to the community here for support.

    Hi! I'm trying to lose 40 lbs, and you sound just like me! :) I'm not much on believing in myself, wish I could succeed at something so that I could, but I do believe in others :)

    I'm taking the tips from the Atkins stuff, high protein, low carbs and want to lose some poundage quickly...I need to see some results!

  • Hi Melissa....my name is Mary and yes I am also trying to lose "at least" 50lbs....could probably stand to lose alittle more! I've always had somewhat of a weight issue...I've did it all in the "diet world"....and I've felt it all in the "self esteem" world! Now I am 47 years old and all I care about is living long enough to one day enjoy meeting and spending time with my Great Grandchildren.....Yes I said "Great" :happy:
    Hey if I'm going to dream.....might as well dream BIG! Just to tell you alittle about me....Have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 26 years now...we have a son, and two daughters. Our first love is God, then each other, the kids...and so on and so forth! We are about to become "empty nesters" which....believe it or not - "we both" are very excited about! (our youngest will be leaving for college in August)...and for the past few months we have been trying to decide what we will do first...and I guess I just want to make sure that I'm feeling good and looking good before we come up with a plan!! :smile:

    Well I'm divorced, 30, no children, two dogs. I have a job that i enjoy and they really take care of me. I have always struggled with my weight and never been "skinny". But i now have type 2 insulin dependent diabetes and found out my cholesterol is a bit high, so i want to lose this weight for health reasons, to look and feel better, and to live longer. I would love to one day get married again and have children but one step at a time. trying to focus on getting me better then everything should fall into place :) Great to have you as a friend! Much luck to you in your journey.
