Stuff it with a Mediterranean quinoa salad I make, drizzle with tahini, and it's an amazing meal!

The obvious for me, dip it in hummus, but I also use them as pizza bases. Add spaghetti sauce and all of the toppings I like, all the yum without all the calories!

I like to cut it into triangles, spray with olive oil cooking spray, sprinkle with garlic powder and bake. I then use the pita chips I just made to dip in hummus. Tasty!

I'll be back to share some links for the homemade Pita bread for anyone interested! I've made Whole Wheat but it would be the same for those that prefer White. Although WW are so tasty!

Also making your own corn tortillas or Whole Wheat ones are super easy as well.

Stuff with hummus and red peppers
  • Mmm, love pita pizzas! and home made donairs with pickled turnips!
  • Stuff it with whatever the heck i want. Just like pita pit, but usually a bit healthier. I like to make a big chicken salad and stuff it in a pita for portability.

Cut it around the edge into two rounds, add pesto, mozzarella, grilled chicken, & sometimes tomatoes, then put it on the George foreman grill to make a panini (i like to call it a pitanini because I'm a dork :P).. too delicious, for a few hundred calories it is REALLY filling.
