Drink more water with or without straw?
Replies

I drink more with a straw. I like lots of ice in my water, so it's just less annoying with the straw. lol0

I totally drink more water WITHOUT a straw.
Straws don't work well with troughs.0 -
I don't like ice in my water, so I go no straw. No ice-jam to break loose and and send water all over my face & shirt.

defininitely more WITH the straw.......lots more in fact!0

Definitely more with a straw.0

Lots more with one. I find myself getting distracted and chugging half a bottle without noticing, lol0

I don't use a straw..Just the typical 16.9 bottles or the liter bottle of smart water (which i typically fill up with tap water). i drink more without it. I think it's a personal preference.0

I say without a straw- and I've noticed I drink more from a large clear bottle versus any other option.0

With straw and ice. I tend to refill more often.0

This is what I use!0

Definitely with a straw. But my other trick is to keep one of those little 10 oz disposable cups right next to my water dispenser. I will fill up one of those and just chug it. I can do 2 or 3 like that back to back 2-3 times a day and get through most of my required water. Then I keep one of those plastic tumblers with the lid and straw on my desk and I sip on it throughout the day. By the end of the day, I have usually drank 80 - 90 ounce of water (10-11 glasses).0

I tend to drink more with a straw.0

Drinking through a straw will give you wrinkles around your mouth (like a smoker).
I prefer to use my straws for other purposes. :smokin:0 -
I drink much more without, but I wonder if it takes more effort to drink with a straw. Hey, if its a bigger burn I'm all for it :drinker:0
-
I found out I drink a lot more with a straw because I can sit there and sip at it all day or just leave my water bottle open.0

I love my camelback bottle with a straw--i drink like 3 times more because of the nub at the top! (boy, that sounds weird!)0

This is what I use!
heh. This.0 -
definitely with a straw, but I have no idea why, haha0

I used to think straw (I keep a bendy straw in my watter thermos thingy) but lately I'm finding when I'm TRYING to drinking more water, I pour it out in a cup and can drink it faster.
It goes the same with bottled water. I drink it faster if it's in a cup.0 -
Straw for sure!0

I drink more with a straw. With a bottle I have to take lid on and off, with the cup I have it is spill resistant, holds 20 oz with no ice, and always ready to sip!0

I drink my water out of recycled SOBE juice bottles. They have narrow necks, but I don't like straws.0

I drink more with a straw. I like lots of ice in my water, so it's just less annoying with the straw. lol
I agree!
Plus i work in a call center, and it's easier for me to "sneak" my sips of water if i am just sucking on a straw rather than picking up the cup and then maneuvering it around my headset :bigsmile:0 -
I can drink more with a straw, espacially soda, but I like to drink my water out of bottles. Feels like I accomplish more then using cups.0

I guess it depends on where I am. When I was working, I had to have a lid on my drink most of the time, so I was always drinking through a straw and downing 36oz's of water in less than an hour. But I drink lots of water every day no matter how I'm drinking it cause I always have a glass/bottle of water right next to me all day.0

If I'm at work, I use a straw (and by the end of the shift I'm regretting it because of all the potty breaks), and I normally drink more.
At home, we don't have a purifier (there's one at work) so it's all tap water. I don't like the taste of tap water so I buy those lemonade flavor sticks, but I only use those if I have to drink tap. If it's a bottle of Dasani or purifier, I'm perfectly fine.0
