So I have been extremly tired lately, by the end of the day I just want to get home and go to sleep. I work full time and I walk for about 60 mins a day in addition to doing 30 day shred or JMs Yoga Meltdown in the morning for 30 mins. MFP put my calories to 1200 but Im wondering if maybe I should up it to 1300 or 1400 since I am eating low carb maybe this is why I am tired? Any thoughts from low carbers or woman who are 5'7 around 170 lbs? Thanks B.

How long have you been doing low carb? Did you just start it up or is it a long term thing?

You should eat a minimum of 1200, you don't log in consistently so it's hard to say, but you might need to eat a bit more.

you should increase your cals yes. You definitely burn way more than 1200 cals/day since you work, and you do 30DS. Also, instead having a protein shake as a meal, have real food. I think you can improve your food choice as well...jack in the box for breakfast can't be good. And carbs are not bad. We need carbs for energy, and that includes energy to burn fat.

If you re trying to eat primal I would recommend upping your calories. I weigh alot more than you (230) but I was experiencing the same tired feeling at 1200......trying it for a week but making sure your eating to the diet can't hurt!

I have been low carbing for a month, yes I know Jack in the box is bad! I had a weak moment and went with it still I log because I chose to hold myself accountable for everything I put into my body. If you go back on my journel it is pretty consistent I normally dont log Sat/Sun but that will change starting today because Im going full throttle for 30 days! I understand our body needs carbs wwhich is why I still eat fruit, nuts and ocassionally beans to get my body what it needs :-)
