anyone made it and actually taste good? why almond milk? why kosher salt?

I'm going to make it tomorrow night with 1% milk and table salt and will post to let you know what happens. Finally, a purpose for the box of salt I bought 5 years ago when we bought our first home and have used no more than 1 tbsp, LOL!

I was just looking for high-protein ice cream recipes the other day and couldn't find a decent one. Thank you so much, can't wait to try this.

Chocolate seems to work the best. I have some rocky road protein coming and will be making some out of it.

Just tried it and had to run to MFP to post it, here’s mine!

    chocicecream.jpg

I made mine with 1 scoop GNC’s Gold Standard Milk Chocolate Whey and 1 cup of 1% milk (and used table salt not kosher) and so this is 33g protein and 16g carbs. It did taste exactly like chocolate ice cream! My hands got super cold though and you definitely have to watch the clock and do this for at least 5 minutes. Perhaps winter is not the time to do this but it is quite soft serve in consistency, must eat immediately.

Icecream maker works better, makes it a thicker consistency.
