Hello my name is Holly and I'm 38. I'm married and we have a beautiful 4 yr old boy that is my everything. I have been overweight since childhood. Gradually getting bigger and bigger as years go by. I'm tired of it! Ready for change and I am going to do it this time! I want to be around for my son more than anything. He is so active and I want to have the energy to keep up with him.
Food is like an addition to me. I used to even hide what I was eating sometimes bc it would be so much food that I was embarrassed! I am not so much into sweets. It is the main dish foods. My portions were way out of control. And then there is the exercise or lack thereof. I'm now trying to get moving for at least 30 minutes a day! I've been using myfitnesspal for about 2 weeks and it really helps w keeping me in check w my calories. I am really interested in maybe taking up running sometime. I am now doing some wii fit type exercising to get started.

Welcome! This is a great site for motivation and encouragement!! You can do this, If you feel the urge to eat try one of these things,
Brush your teeth, Use mouth wash, Drink a bottle of water, try chewing gum, or go for a walk outside. These are the things that usually work for me. Stay strong try and stay around positive people and you will do just fine.
If you ever have any ?'s just ask that is why we are all here. We need to help support eachother on our health and fitness journey.
