Ok.... We are all "grown ups" who are responsible for our own actions of what we put in our mouths. BUT if you could blame something for being overweight what would it be? Mine is a B**** named Little Debbie!!!!!!!!! If I ever see her in a back ally, I will run her over with my car!

Local Mexican Restaurants where you have no clue how many calories are in the food! BUT oh so good!
  • I do not see the point of this thread, or why it is under "Motivation and Support" placing blame isn't going to help anyone lose weight

    LMAO

I partially blame my mother for giving me such TERRIBLE eating habits. She's always on the latest fad diet and then back to fast food & ice cream the next week. Also alcohol... those calories add up FAST!!

You're right, it might be in the wrong forum, but did you even read the whole original post? This is not a serious post on blaming something, it still says you're fully responsible for your food intake...

Lighten up a little... No that was not a pun.

I can only think of people who have been responsible for me losing weight, and not in a good way. My eating disorder tendencies have always been triggered by men being c***s.

I don't know, I think poking fun at the things we'd like to blame but know we really can't offers a certain kind of motivation. Don't apologize :)

    For me: chicago-style, deep-dish, heart-attack-on-a-plate pizza.

Processed food manufacturers for adding so much hidden sugar into products that are sold as *real* food.

Both sugar and artificial sugar increase the appetite... so you eat more (they sell more) and the cycle continues.

  • i am guessing genetics for me... but more in the hormonal way. Also Learned habits from my parents (no exercise, eat what you want and take medication for it later or gastric bypass)
  • Convenient fast food places on my way home that made it ok for me to be lazy and not want to cook. :)

I've enjoyed reading all the responses to this! Everyone has their own "vice."

Depression and comfort eating. Well, I say comfort eating, it was more. Go to work, go to the pub, drink until quite pissed, grab kebabs/takeaways and go home. Repeat most days.
