I put kale in mine, it does leave a bitty texture but hey, its good for you
I also add spirulina, which makes it taste horrid, but again, good for you0 -
this come from a Vitamix page. The different combos is nice and will give you ideas. I would recommend purchasing a Vitamix machine. They are expensive, but well worth the $$ if you ask me. If you are a Costco member, you of course can buy them a lot cheaper. Costco has the "roadshows" and Vitamix is a popular one. I find that you don't even need to have a juicer - just the Vitamix. Anyway, hope these help you. - shal

My favorite: http://damefamilyrecipes.blogspot.com/search/label/Smoothie
It does have a little dairy in it but I have made it without and it is still good (if you trying to make it all "green").0 -

So question...What if you are severely allergic to banana, ALL melons (including mango ad papaya), and avocados? Oh and celery? Pretty much all the recipes I see call for one or most of those...0

Hi!
I just added my recipe to the database:
Green power Smoothie.
1 scoop Sunwarrior Protein Powder (Natural flavour)
1/2 fresh Avocado
1/2 Tbspn Lucuma Powder
1 cup Frozen Mixed Berries
Handful of Baby Spinach
1 Tblspn Liquid Colloidal Minerals, (I use the T.J Clark brand)
2 cups Sanitarium So Good - Almond Milk
1 Tblspn Lifestream - Spirulina Bioactive
ice cubes
for less calories you could leave out the avocado, I swap the avocado for a banana sometimes.0 -
Green smoothies are the best. I have been drinking them for ages. Truth is I never even considered that they would help me lose weight. I always thought of them as something to drink to help me be healthy. I am at the point where if I miss one day of not drinking a green drink I get sick and have a terrible headache. Not to mention I get sick more easily. The best thing I can tell you is to put everything... veggie wise is a drink. then add half of a banana. then.. add lots of beats. it seems weird but I promise it will help the green drink go down0
