Congratulation Rach!! It's good to read the positive changes. Keep it up!!
Sanifrey.....You look awesome!! What an inspiration!!0 -
I'm worrried...my shoulder is making grinding sounds at times and feels like it shifts. WTF? I can't go through that hell again. I'm trying to get in to see the Doc for at least another x-ray too. I haven't been overdoing it either-believe me- he said I could lift some weights. My body is such a mess. I need to go for other surgery too...my insides are screwed. I have such loose ligaments EVERYWHERE I guess, that things are drooping. Not sure what ??? Having repair for stress incontinence, and then they'll fix my other prob too I guess.
I have had so much probs with my health in my life, sometimes when I'm really depressed, i just feel like I shouldn't have been born. I AM A FIGHTER, and very stubborn so I carry on, but my family really doesn't understand what I've been through, and will still have to continue to endure. I always preach to my kids about inner strength, and the importance of being in shape, eating well and being healthy cause you never know what may cross your path. Never give up -I always tell them, yet somedays....I just want to stay in bed. What a waste of lifetime. And, my air conditioner is broken and I'm broke. Not a great start to the week for me. :frown:

We have no air right now either - only because my hubby hasn't pulled them out and stuck them in the window - it's pretty hot here today.
Kath-hang in there - you are a fighter and you'll get past all this stuff...you are strong!0 -
Anyone want to get into the team vs team challenge on here - I thought it would be fun to keep us working hard.0

Im all about this. Lets kick anothers team butt:drinker:0 -
I have been downing the water today. Maybe it was all the sodium. I have burned almost 1,000 calories today so far. I did the wii active, sorted some laundry ( I normally don't do that) and I mowed the lawn. I was up and down stairs like no other day. Tonight Im going to tae kwan do (sp) I'm so excited. I use to be in it when I was younger. I can't wait to see how calories I'm going to burn. Burn baby burn. :bigsmile:0
-
Had a great workout, minus the shoulder stuff. See the Doc at the end of the month. Loved Tai kwon do j, Have fun and kick some *kitten*!0
-
I did good on water today. I'm sick so I can't exercise.:grumble: I have to watch myself so I don't go overboard on eating.
To make up for yesterday (went to a party, attacked the food table), I am eating healthy all week.
Oh, and I agree about the team vs. team challenge. Let's do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bigsmile:0 -
Well I just got back from Tae Kwon Doe and I think I'm going to join. Its on Monday and Thursday. I don't know how many calories I burned but WOW that was a workout. I will need a shower that is for sure. I can't wait to see ow this is going to change my body.
Kath- I hope everything is going ok for you. I will send youa message.0 -

Chrissy-you're such a supportive, awesome person. Kind words are worth millions these days.:smooched:
Thanks j, I know you can relate alot.
A challenge would be great-I still need to work on increasing veggies, evening snacking, and of course my sugar addiction. My hubby has a bet with me that will keep me clean. He said that if I ate sugary treats of any kind, I'd have to do anything he wanted.:blushing: And he always wants the same thing, if you know what I mean.:blushing: So basically, if I'm good, it's a win win for me all around. :laugh:0 -
No exercise today. As soon as I got off work, I had to drive an hour and a half away to pick up a nicer set of seats for my old gti. I've been ordering parts for the last couple days and hope to have my car put back together be the end of the month. I need it back on the road by July 9th because my little brother will be home from the Air Force for a month before being stationed in New Mexico for 3yrs, so I want to have the jetta available for him to use while he's home.
Lots of work! But I'm so excited to be getting my car back! Ahhh my one true love!

I'm back....
And I think I've brought a few extra pounds with me! I've only exercised twice this whole time my hubby has been home and we've been eating lots of sweets! The one good thing I have going for me is that when we've gone out to eat, I've made MUCH smarter decisions! I'm not ready to survey the damages yet. No sense in depressing myself before weigh in day! We've had a really great time, though. We were given a free weekend in a cabin in North Ga and it was beautiful!!! We drove over to Amicalola Falls and attempted to hike it. I got up to the top of the first set of steps and felt really sick to my stomach. It was HOT and I think I was dehydrated. I didn't think I would make it up the next 425 steps so we went back down and drove to the top. But, it was good to get up there and see where my physical fitness level was. Now I want to conquer it when my husband comes home! My HRM came in the mail right before we left so I have lots of motivation to get back in the game when he leaves... then I just have to figure out to make it a part of our lifestyle when he comes back.
Bryce ~ I was wondering where you went! Glad to see you're back.0 -
Good Morning Blues!!
I have the day off of work to get caught up on homework. When I woke up this morning I told myself that today is my restart day. Enough of this eatting cookies and not doing my strength training. I realized that I am only a few pounds away from losing 20 lbs. Which is exciting and I want to get there. I am planning on getting a few workouts in here and there today. This beautiful weather has changed my view on everything.
It seems like many of you are doing so well. For those of you with injuries take it easy and rest up - you don't want to make them worse.
I think a team challenge would be great...I need something to keep me going here.
Have a great day.
For a mini challenge..I challenge you all to drink your water (8 cups at least), get outside for a walk (to the mailbox, the corner, the post office) enjoy the sunshine if it is out where you live.J

I have issues with sugar myself. I completely lost my resolve this weekend and pigged out on fudge and cookies and pie. It shouldn't be so cut and dry--I really want to be where I can eat one piece and be satisfied instead of stuffing myself with everything like it is the last day I will ever be able to eat. I am going to start dr phil's book and see if I can't make it past my emotional eating. One of the things he recommends is to substitute one action for another. i.e. go running, read a book (I eat while reading though), take a bath, basically do something that you can't eat while doing.
Lets just take it one day at a time. Everyone has a day where it doesn't seem worth it. I know I wonder what on earth I am doing sometimes, maybe it isn't worth fighting for. BUT those are the days we show what we are made of--little by little we can make it through. If we can hold off eating the cookies for an hour or just not buy them at the store we have made progress. That is what we are really after--progress. :flowerforyou: Remember the real reason we have started this journey--For me my main goal is to avoid getting gestational diabetes again. I know I can do it, I know how to do it, I just need to follow through. So keep it going. I know you can do it.
Just remember to prepare ahead of time, plan your meals and snacks--then when your craving comes, you can allow yourself to have some after your next meal or snack--and a couple glasses of water:bigsmile: You won't be as hungry--and I promise it works!! (You also don't feel deprived, I hate that feeling)
Good luck to everyone on weighing in. I am back on track again...Everyday is a new day.0 -
Guys all these sugar issues - is is when you are home or out that this sneaks up on you....if while at home - quit buying the stuff - I only buy sweets for my kids as treats and I only buy the ones that they like and I don't - so the temptation isn't there. See if that will help you!0

The sugary treats are defintely when I am home. My parents buy tons of cookies and donuts and when ever I get stressed I eat them. I realized last night that I can have 2 Edy's fruit bars for same amount of calories as 1 chips ahoy cookies and I feel so much better after I eat them!! It is a work in progress I suppose.0 -
Don't walk 2 more miles in your socks after your sneakers give you a blister on your heel after the first.....
You'll be like me and have blisters all over the bottoms of your feet.
Ow ow ow ow ow....
I swear I'm not the brightest crayon in the box sometimes. :grumble: :laugh:0 -
Rach - I had this happen about a week ago. Honestly the best thing I found was to use a needle to poke the blisters and let them drain...I was new my morning!!0

Lol yea. :blushing: I realized that after I said it.
Alright I drained them as much as I could, but I may have to do it again in the morning because they still feel squishy. Thanks for the help!!0 -
Ah, Rach- hope you feel better. I usually have to drain mine too. I have bunions, and I went roller skating once, and got one about the size of two quarters side by side. I just had to drain it. If you can, wear slippers, it doesn't hurt as much.
Andddd, wooh, this is a good week. I'm down almost 3 pounds. =D0 -
First week for me and 4 pounds down, yipee!!!!0

Way to go guys.:drinker: My weigh in is 2 weeks or so...I'll keep on plugging away...:flowerforyou:0
-
I dont want to give my weigh in! I just keep gaining! :sad:0
-
Well I doubt I'm going to get in any exercise today because of my feet, but that's alright. I'm down 3.6lbs over the last week and I think that's due to giving myself a break from walking for 2 days and letting my body rest up. I'm hoping some more of my car parts show up so I can get started on my car this weekend. I have to call around and get prices on towing this evening. Busy busy! :flowerforyou:0
-
No loss for me this week but I had 4 really good weeks before that so I am ok with that....will jog with my hubby this evening.
Rach hope the feets feel better!0 -
