WoW! what a busy thread today! Kind of wish I had something to log. Not till tomorrow for me.

Welcome to our newest challengers! I hope you all enjoy it!

amcclure, sometimes the weeks have turned into months for me:laugh: But I figure everytime I do them I get alittle bit stronger so it doesn't matter how long it takes. It just matter that I keep at it.

    See you all tomorrow!

Hey Dave, since you like to harrass Marla about getting hers done why don't you join us?!

I finally found the new thread. Hi everybody!!! For those who don't know me, I've been working on pushups for much longer than I care to admit - nearly a year now. I repeat LOTS of weeks - probably all of them several times now. I made it all the way to 100 a couple months ago, but my form wasn't great - I realize now that I was only going about halfway down. So I have started over, and have been a little frustrated at how hard I still find it! I keep taking a week off and then coming back to the same place. So, here I am again - week 2, level 3, day 1. I am doing them plank-style (on my toes), going all the way to the floor.

    14
    14
    10
    10
    15 (min 15)

Yikes. These are still really tough!

Sooooo I was reading the "instructions" and my hubby was like..."hey, whatcha got there" so I explained it to him. I asked him how many he thinks he could do...so he got down and tried it.....(he did 8 from his toes btw)....so I got down and I tried it....originally I was going to do the challenge from my knees, but I tried them from my toes and I got 6 on my first try!! So I think I'm going to continue from my toes as long as I can!! So day one is tomorrow.

Oh and my hubby is tooooootally gonna do it with me...I'm so proud of him.

That's great that DH is going to do them too! You can motivate each other.

I like your goals/rewards. I think it helps when we reward ourselves on the way. Especially when it's not a going out for ice cream....

:drinker: to all you faithful (and those that aren't always like me) You are all doing great!

    I did week 6, day 2, level 1
    sets 1&2 14
    3&4 15
    5&6 14
    7&8 10
9 at least 44 and I actually managed the 44 without a break! That was exciting for me!

I am going to be out of town on Sat. I am going to try to get mine done. But I won't be able to post. So it will be a few days before I'm back on.

    Keep up the good work!

13(min 13) just didn't want to do any more
I don't know if my heart just isn't in it anymore or if I am discouraged because I just haven't felt well physically. I am not sure if I will go to my toes next week or not. My back is getting better, so we'll see. I'll have to go back to week one I'm sure. I hope I have time to do day 3 on Saturday!

  • Okay I did my push ups, sit ups, and squats on on week 1 day 3. I think I might redo week 1 just to build my strength. I had a hard time. I feel like a wimp. LOL. But the root canal I had really threw me off . I feel really tired and week so it will depend on how I feel on monday!

Take care guys and keep up the good work!

Yay! I finished week 2 at level 3 - and this time I might even move on.

    16
    17
    14
    14
    20 (min 20)

Now, admittedly, I rested more like 3 minutes between sets (instead of 2), and that last set was rough - I was able to do the first 10 without pausing, but from then on it was only 3, 2, or 1 at a time before pausing. But I made it through and did the whole program this week. Whew! So I will test over the weekend and see where I end up for week 3. I hope I can be at level 3 again... but if it's level 2 or even level 1, I will just keep going, and repeating until I get back up to level 3.

Welcome to the new faces! :flowerforyou:

    Well, here's the deal gang--

I love pushups-- but this program sometimes gives me fits--

    Week one is, like, 6,4, 6, 6, 7--

By week three, with only really 6 days of pushups, supposedly-- you're in the high teens and 20s--

    Oh my-- don't think so--

I'm doing pushups just about every night-- 3 sets of at least 10-- that's gonna have to do it for me--

    Yeah, I know, Dave-- wimp.

But you can't even call me that-- 'cause you're not here--
