I go over my recommended fiber and calcium intake on a normal basis? I tend to go over at least every other day. Not by an astronomical amount, though.

If this is a silly questions... oops! =P

I wouldn't be concerned. I shoot for excess fiber, actually.

the only number i'm concerned about is calories. everything else isn't too important though. protein i try and go as high as possible.
  • I agree with the above posts. : ) I try to keep my sodium within limits and my cals... the rest, I just try to stay semi-balanced. Good luck!

Going over on fiber and calcium is only okay if you enjoy being "regular" and not having broken bones. If you don't like those things, then you should probably limit both.
(I'm not trying to be mean - I know those red numbers can be scary, but you DEFINITELY don't need to worry about those!)

Here's a little research I did about fiber and possibly getting too much.

If you have to ask if you're getting too much, I doubt you are. :)

I pay attention to calories, sodium, and sugar. If those are looking good, I pretty well ignore the rest. If I'm way over on protein I try to make sure I'm decently over in fiber as well, just for my stomach's sake.

i wouldnt worry bout those! worry about cholesterol, sodium <they dont allow you extra for exercise> id concern myself with fats and sugars and such, protein is another one you can go over on, as long as you exercise regularly

Too much calcium can cause kidney stones. Fiber can cause bloating and constipation.

Just don't go too crazy and you will be fine :)
