Not dropping the pounds like I want

So for the past 3 weeks at least I have been walking 2 miles at least 5 days a week and using the fitness pal to keep my calorie intake down and I've only lost 2 lbs. I figured adding the walking I would drop weight faster. What am I doing wrong? Or what should I do different? Also has any one heard the B12 is good for boosting your metabolism?

Sometimes it just takes a while for your body to catch up. I went 3 weeks with no weight loss between my 8th and 9th pound. I wouldn't worry. If you're eating within your calorie limit, exercising and eating back your exercise calories then it'll come off eventually =)

It's like everyone says on all the other blogs...you may not be taking in enough calories. Just keep it up and the pounds will eventually follow. The best measurement of your success is your measurements! :)

keep doing what you're doing, and i don't think any of us drop the weight in the speed we want to..
i remember when i started out it took several weeks for me to see any significant loss, so, 2 lb in 3 weeks isn't bad at all..

I'm in the same boat. Started this journey on the 6th of Jan weighing 168 pounds and a month later here I am weighing 165/166 pounds. I go to the gym 3 times a week with a personal trainer, zumba once a week, just started 30 day shred, walk everywhere, drink at least 2 litres of water a day, eat up to 1350 calories most days and the pounds are still not dropping as fast as i would like.
Sorry I'm no help but just needed to vent! Aarrggghhhhh!

Make sure the foods that you're eating are good foods for you. I know that a calorie is a calorie, but your body uses foods differently!
Also, maybe try to run at least a little bit! Sometimes walking doesn't get your heart rate up enough! :)

But, remember, the number on the scale isn't the only thing that matters! You may be losing inches, and gaining muscle! And your muscle will eat your fat because it gets hungry!

I thought I was actually getting FATTER after I lost my first 10 pounds! And that just doesn't make any sense at all! But after I got over that little hiccup the weight has been falling off of me. (I'm worried about my plateau!!)

It will def start coming off, don't get discourage!
  • one of the things i found is not eating your calories at once o in 3 BIG meals... make sure you eat breakfast, 2 hrs later have a snack like yogurt an apple etc. 2 hrs later eat lunch. mid afternoon eat another snack and then dinner. try to eat your carbs early in the day and not around dinnertime.
Cut out sugar. my coffee int he morning was 280cals mostly because of sugar and cream. i cut that to 35 by drinking tea with milk and sweetner.
you have to eat often to keep your matobilism going and be consistent. drinks lots of water, stay away from pop, juices and anything sugary.
i'm down 11lbs in a month simply by changing my eating habits and not walking( minimal exercise due to car accident). the biggest thing for me was being consistent and eating properly.

    hope this helps
