How do most people track their calories burned?

I use my Garmin with the hear rate monitor for my runs. I also use it on its indoor setting to track my calories burned. I'm wondering how accurate this is or is there a better way. I notice the Garmin tell me that I typically burn less the MFP so I usually go with the lower setting just to be on the safe side.

    Depends on what I'm doing. I use my Garmin, too, but for playing team sports such as handball I just have to guesstimate.

    I use 90% of what the gym machine says for cardio.

    The rest, I use 50%-75% of what MFP says.

    When i stop losing / slow down, I will get a HRM.
