To scale or not to scale? That is the question...

I'm a college student and I don't have a personal scale and I'm wondering if I should get one. It stinks to log food every day and see "0 LBS LOST" glaring at me in red. My school's gym has a scale (the old balance kind) but I'm not sure how accurate it is and it's in public and so on.
Advice? Please?

The old balance scales are usually the most accurate, much more accurate than bathroom scales.0

We bought a scale. I could weigh at the gym, or several other places. I like to weigh first thing in the morning before I eat anything. I also like to know how much I weigh, not my clothes. We bought the Eat Smart scale from Amazon. It was around $30 and very accurate.0
