starting the 30 day Shred with Jillian Michaels

So I am looking for people who are doing the shred, have done it, or will start it with me. I NEED SUPPORT!! I have never been good at sticking to my workouts. Any advice would be welcomed... Did it work for you? Is it working for you? Let me know. I would love to hear from you all!

I'm on level 3. This is the first time I have done a home workout DVD, never thought I would be able to be motivated enough to do it and stick with it. I am seeing progress. I highly recommend pressing through. I was very sore after Day 2, so I took a rest day then continued the next. I usually take one rest day a week, and work out for 6. After several days I was definitely stronger. I could barely do a modified pushup on my knees when I started, but by about day 5, I could do some non modified. As you get into Level 2 or 3, if you cannot do some of the moves, do as much as you can, but substitute something else if you have to. On level 3, there is a cardio move that is too high impact for me, so instead I do the boxing move and add my own kicks, just to keep moving and keep heart rate up.0

I've ordered the dvd and am waiting for it to arrive! It should be here sometime this week. I'm excited to start it! I've heard good things about the workouts0

I took a rest day after day 2 because I could barely walk and then continued, after that I had no problems.0 -
Third time around and loveeee it! I started this series on level 3 and added a weight vest and medicine ball to add some challenge. Stick withit... You'll be glad your did. ;0)0

Count me in. I am on my 2nd round. I did it straight through in January and had wonderful results so I am doing in February but upping my weights and changing the schedule a little.0

It is hard but it will get easier. Then you'll move up a level and think you are going to die again. I just started level 3 yesterday. My advice would be to not worry about doing it in 30 days and make it work for you. I don't have the time or motivation to do it every day so I do it on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. I did each level about 2 weeks (six times each). When I get through level 3 and feel more comfortable with it I will either start over and rotate levels every week or every day depending on my interest.0

Did day 3 of level 1 today. I am less sore than yesterday. Just do as much as you can each day. Push yourself & you will be feel good.0

I just started level two yesterday and feel like death is a possiblity again. However, I am determined to make it through. The results I see already are totally worth it.0

I am on day 4 of level 1 and I am like you, I have always had a hard time sticking to something, but I am 100% committed to finishing this after seeing everyones before and after pictures, and success stories. I almost died day 1 and wanted to skip day 2 but forced myself to do it, sore muscles and all. Day 3 I took a rest day because I literally could not straighten my arm out, I had slept on it funny with a sore muscle and it tightened up and would not release, but did day 3 yesterday and it went great, doing day 4 here in a bit. I hope to not take any more breaks, but we will see what happens when I start level 2! I do know my fiance told me last night my legs looked more toned already, and I don't see how it could be so in 3 days but he swears he can see more definition in them than he ever has! Good luck! Yes, I am on my 9th day. I'm spending 10 days for each level to keep it even. It hasn't been too hard for me to keept motivated with it. I often look up photo results to keep myself motivated. I can see a big change already in my stamina for the workouts. I don't know if I'm seeing changes or if I'm imagining seeing the changes because I want them to happen so badly. I wish you luck and I hope you succeed in your goals.0

I will be done with the Shred on the 12th. I am 5'3 and my starting weight was 153lbs, Right now I am 146 and I lost about 12 inches total. I also was doing 6 week 6 pack and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. I only take one rest day a week. I think the results were wonderful with the shred however I did get board with it but stuck through it.0

The first time I did the 30-day shred workout, I thought I was going to DIE for the next few days - I was SO sore! And that was just level 1! It is a good workout, though. I have since been doing P90X - which is seriously harder - and am in the middle of my 4th 90-day cycle. Whatever workout you do - just be committed! Jillian's are good. Stick with it, girl!0
