Pilates
Slim in 6

I heard an hour. But I don't know. That is a great question!

Well, I've heard anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours! I'd really like to know if the amount of time you should wait is relative to the type of work out you're planning on doing? In other words, if I do cardio first, should I wait longer or if I do strength first, can I work out right after a meal?

The time is going to vary from person to person. I, for example, can work out (any kind of workout) 30 minutes after eating, where as my husband has to wait at least an hour- hour and a half. You'll have to play with it and see what works better for you. You can always have just a little snack an hour before and then a larger meal after your workout. Good luck!

Definitely depends on what you eat. I will eat some crackers right before I go for a run and be fine but if I have like eggs and toast I have to wait around a half an hour sometimes less, it really depends on the person and how much you eat

Yep, one of the varies by person sort of things! I personally cant have anything in my stomach or have to wait at least 2 to 3 hours minimum before I work out. I do the P90X workouts, so it may have somethign to do with the intensity at which you work out as well.... I think th esafe bet would be to wait an hour work out and adjust from there based on how your body feels
