Single on Valentines Day....not good for the diet

I have a problem...all my friends have someone this coming v-day...I start thinking about that and how I'm alone and I just want to pig out... anyone else have this problem? Anyone have words of wisdom?

    Not trying to be mean but think about it this way...you wont have a box of chocolate put in front of your face!! :ohwell:

    I will also be single on this day. It makes me think why am I single since I think I am amazing, fun, cute, and a great catch, but then I think how if I were involved then I would not be focusing on ME and my goals!!!! I keep busy it helps.

    Being alone on Valentine day does suck, but I have my eye on the prize and one day I will find the one that wants me for me

    I've never had a Valentine, so for me it's just another day. But me and my puppy will be cuddling up watching a good movie that night after work!

    I don't to sound mean, either. But Valentines day is just like any other day in my eyes and I hate that it creates feelings of loneliness in people, because it's completely unnecessary.

    Even if you aren't loved by a S.O., you have people in your life that love you, so celebrate V-DAY with the people you love and enjoy the day, don't wallow in it.

    I'll be single on valentines day, as on every valentines day, I dunno though. An evening with the tv sounds kind of nice. Maybe that's even sadder. ;)

    I don't have anyone either. I have to babysit! And the girl I am babysitting for is like i'm going to make you a Valentine's Day goodie bag..

    I am married with 2 kids. The only Valentine's I will get will be from my kids, I am sure. My husband lacks the gift giving type trait. He plans to take me shopping for some jewelry. I don't want jewelry. And something always comes up.

    It is a stupid made up day just to make you spend money or feel bad about yourself. I say, Tuesday is just Tuesday so eat accordingly. I know I will.

    I've been single on valentines day for the past ... nine years or so minus one year a couple years ago.

    It's not that big a deal.

    It really isn't.

    If ones life is hinged on one being with someone that if one don't have that they go unhinged and start gorging on food, I think that one needs to find a way to seek help in some form or fashion for codependency issues.

    Life is *full* of things one can do without needing to be hooked up with someone. It's nice sure... but it shouldn't cause one to go off the rails and start gorging on food and becoming an emotional wreck without somebody around... that's not healthy IMO. Neither is jumping to someone for the sake of not being alone. That's how abusive relationships can be formed.

    Seek life where life can be found... happiness is not dictated by being with someone all the time. If you make it such, then you are enslaving yourself to an idea that is beyond your capacity to control.

    I am single too! I am going to give blood on valentines day :) Happy valentines day whom ever needs my blood. Why don't you go to the gym? Everyone there I am sure will be single ;)

    The worst part about Valentine's Day is that the day afterward all the candy is on sale....and I'll be staying out of the stores this week.

    Don't think of valentines day as just a romantic holiday, take the day and think of all your loved ones. you are loved! Love yourself by not indulging in fattening foods, your body will love you in return!

    I'm not single on V-day, I've just never understood the negativity toward it from the single population. It's a made up holiday for people to spend money on a significant other. Instead, focus on how you don't have to sit around & decide what to buy so-and-so, & then waste your money on it. Also try to ignore the cheap delicious candy that's available! [I swear if my fiance buys me any I'll smack him! Lol] CHEER UP! :) It's just another day!

    I'll be single on valentines day and thank ful for it! no pressure no problems lol. No chocolates, no calorie laden dinner, no pop corn or choc tops at the movies... have a salad, go for a run and love your body and your self!
