I once read that celery takes more calories to burn off than it contains, sooo I guess in the long run it's calorie free.0
-
Celery is supposed to contain less calories than it requires to digest it.0

Negative calories = myth
Pickles are incredibly low in cals, but high in sodium. Not going to find food with 0 calories0 -
pickles, cucumbers in vinegar, sf gum, sf jello (almost)0

No no no no. There is no calorie free food. Celery, broccoli, veggies in general are low calorie, full of fiber, and filling. But they're not 0 calories.0
-
Celery is only 10 calories a stalk, so it would take 350 stalks to add up to a pound. Not sure that's humanly possible, so I'd recommend that.0

Cardboard maybe??? LOL0
-
Cucumbers are really low cal, like 19 calories depending on the size.0
-
cardboard would taste better than celery0
-
Pickles have 0 calories. At least the jar in my refrigerator says so I have a late night snacking problem and keeping dill pickles has been the cure for late night calories. Good luck!0
-
There is NO food which takes more calories to digest than it contains. If you want something truly no-cal, drink water. If you want low-cal, have some non-starchy vegetables.0

Food labels are legally allowed to say 0 if it's less than 5 calories per serving. If you eat more than one serving, it can add up.

People say the term "negative calorie foods" because those are foods that take more energy to chew and digest than is found in the food itself. So foods that are more fibrous are sometimes in the "negative calorie" food category. Just google it. There's a list.
I personally try to focus on foods that are nutritious and I know to be metabolic-boosting. Like raw almonds, etc. I don't go over my calories w/ "negative" calorie food because I know that it's not a lifestyle I can maintain.
It doesn't hurt to know which fruits and veggies are better for you than others but I wouldn't fall into a diet just because of the negative food hype. Good luck!:flowerforyou:0 -

If you Google it, you will also find that it's not true.

You could consider trying the Weight Watchers plan that gives you zero POINT foods. I did Weight Watchers for a while and lost some weight. I was never hungry unless I messed up early in the day and lost all of my points. They have excellent zero point foods such as butter free pop corn. Otherwise, no. No zero calorie foods. Sorry.0

Have a cup (or two) of herbal tea. Make your own iced tea by adding some freshly-squeezed lemon and putting it in the fridge, for an extremely low-calorie alternative to snacking.0

Truth about pickles. They were unloved as cucumbers, and being unloved they died but we didn't let them go, we embalmed them in the afterlife and still they are mostly rejected, and there on my sandwich plate, its bitterness spreads and contaminates my lays chips and wonderful bread. There it is scorned again and tossed away. It so unnatural. Say no pickles let the cucumber rest in peace.0

Pickles. Dill pickles are the greatest, along with carrots too. About to eat some carrots and pickles right now!0

Just google it. There's a list.
Here is a list I found on Google: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fairy_and_sprite_characters0 -
cardboard would taste better than celery
have to agree with this, celery yuck0 -
pickles are great just SODIUM is a killer
celery is good
any veggie pretty much is low calorie
just have to watch SODIUM on some
nothing has 0 calories but water
even tea brewed has calories even tho it says 0 calories
gum calories i think the lowest calorie gum i seen was extra 5 cals per but you gotta be careful on the sweeteners they use cause it will make you crave more SUGAR
its like when you go buy bread and pasta sauce and ketchup and such you gotta watch for the corn syrup added
its bad stuff
they make a lot of it without the corn syrup
just gotta read labels
hubby hates shopping with me cause ill take 1-3hrs shopping just cause I read everything =D0 -
Plastic in any form, or paper. LOL.
On a positive note, any vegetable has roughly around 30-40 calories per 100 grams. (carrots, leaves, cabbage or whatever).
(There is a contention among people, whether there exist any negative calories food)0 -
Here's the definition of food:
"Any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink, or that plants absorb, in order to maintain life and growth."
Therefore anything without calories is, by definition, not a food.
Some may be listed as having no calories - sweeteners, pickles, shiritake noodles etc. - but that's based on a recommended serving size.0 -
if you want calorie free toppings or dressings look up walden farms, they make a bunch of carb free zero calorie stuff.
