Looking for friends in France

Hi, I know it is probably a long shot but if there are any anglophones living in France who are this site would be great to be friends! Somebody who understands the lure of the Patisserie!!!!

    Hi there! I originally come from London and I’ve been living in Paris for just under 5 months. I completely understand that “lure of the Patisserie”! I’ve managed to put on about 12kg of weight since living here :( But I’ve decided it needs to stop!!! Feel free to add me, I’ve been on MFP for a week and I would love some friends on here to keep me motivated!!!

    I've been in France since mid-September, and I completely understand about les patisseries. Yum. My biggest problem however, is my inability to count calories here. How do I track my food when I don't know/recognize all of the components going into my food? So difficult, especially since I'm not always the one doing the cooking! My weight loss has come to a screeching halt since my arrival. Friend me sometime. Who knows, maybe we're right around the corner from each other.

    don't french people walk and bike everywhere? i imagine just adopting those french customs will help a lot in weight loss.

    Hiya, I first came to France as I had a job in Normandy, that was back in 1998.
    I met my gorgeous French hubby after just a few months, then moved back to the UK (with him) after about a year.
    When we became parents we decided to move back over here for a better family life, so we've been back (in Brittany now) since 2004 and have finally settled in a beautiful spot, with our 2 girls.
    You'd think the lifestyle we have would keep me superfit....smallholding, veg growing, chickens, a goat, a pony, 3 horses and 3 dogs, but nope, not a chance haha!
