Green smoothies?

New to these, trying to get into them in the hopes they might boost my energy and see me consuming a good amount of the fresh stuff on days when I can't be bothered making salad.
SO I have for you, questions 2
Question 1: Does anyone have any good recipes for the novice drinker?
Question 2: I know people usually make them with water but I just made a (milk based) banana smoothie with some lettuce leaves thrown in for good measure and milk just gave it all that little bit of extra mmmmmmmmm. If I'm not fussed about calories, can I use milk? Are there any fruits that shouldn't be mixed with milk? (Citrus for example).

My current favourite recipe is:
Spinach or silverbeet (a handful or two) - I generally use silverbeet because it keeps better, but spinach has a milder flavour
1 frozen banana (I peel them when they're very ripe then freeze them in an airtight container)
1 large nectarine
1 apple
1 tablespoon of almond meal or LSA
a cup or two of cold water
I like to use frozen bananas because they give it a creaminess without using milk or milk substitutes. I throw in the almond meal for protein but it can make it a little gritty.0 -
The one I have almost every day:
1/2 cup chobani plain yogurt
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 frozen banana
1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or strawberry)
a nice handful or two of spinach
1 T. chia seeds
1 cup water0 -
I often add milk or yogurt to smoothies, it can make it really jummy
And adds protein and calcium!
I tryed adding broccoli once, but even for me (who like broccoli a lot) it became too much. I used a lot thought.0 -
