yall have made my day.
its not a victory unless you have folks to share it with...
thanks yall!0 -
Loft is only off by at most 1 size...depending on the cut, it can be right on, half size larger, or one size larger. So, at most, you're wearing a size 4 :-)0

All your posts are wonderful. I am smiling at all the comments. Happy to know that orange adds 10 pounds - won't be buying an orange jumpsuit anytimne soon.
The labels I wear are everywhere from a size 4 to a size 10. Go figure.
Congratulations by the way!0 -
Awesome. I am big on labels and last week I actually got into a 4. whoo hoo..... I'm sure they are technically a 6, but oh the smile it brought to my face. ENJOY THOSE 2's!!!
PS - thanks for the orange tip. Note to self: do not buy anything orange!! :laugh:0 -
You know, people go on and on about how sizes are "bigger" now but I'm just not sure I entirely buy it. I have two pairs of identical pants. One is 'smaller' because it's older and has shrunken more. I would say they are .5 to .75 sizes smaller than the other, identical pair. I think that makes it much harder to identify if clothing has grown, or if our older stuff has shrunk. For example, My wedding dress (from 12 years ago) is still comparable size wise to clothing now. At the time I bought it, I wore an 18W and the dress was a 20. I tried it on recently and I can now put it on and take it off without unfastening it. So it seems exactly right size wise compared to the sizes now.
Same goes for the "prom" dress I wore in my sister's wedding 5.5 years ago. I know exactly what I weighed when I bought that dress and it fits the same as my current clothes do.0 -
