P90X 30-day results (my 1st progress pics)

As the picture says, I have been on MFP since September, just coming up to 6 months now. Made slow progress until 1st January (due to moving house - twice! and country and new job) but since then I have been beasting it.
Just started Week 5 of P90X yesterday - even managed to go out and break my 5k run record as a warm up (only 31 mins but good for me and a challenging hill route) and then do my first Chest, Shoulders, Triceps. Loving it!
I have three 8km runs coming up over the next 3 months, starting next week, so that has given me real motivation to hit the tarmac. I have discovered the revelation of P90X recently. For a former gym junkie who can't afford a membership and in a cold country in the depths of winter, Tony has been a great motivation. I don't even have any weights, just using some heavy duty securing bands from my car!
Targeting 88kgs for my wedding in May. At just over 14 weeks away that is little less than a 1kg (2lbs) a week! Plus a real push to rid that stubborn tummy and lovehandle fat and start to see some definition for my 2 weeks on the beach in Mexico for our honeymoon!
Joined the Intermittent Fasting Group yesterday - great guys over there and I really believe it can work (despite what many say about starvation modes).
Thanks for checking out my post!

Maybe it doesn't look like much a difference but it feels like a huge difference....and that's what counts!
Wait for my day 60 photos and i'll show you all!0 -
That's a great result! Congrats for doing that program - doesn't look easy0

Thanks Tony.
I highly recommend P90X. Much better for beginners than going to the gym and cheaper/more motivational than a PT.0 -
great results babe! I cant stick to things like that but your looking so much better for doing the program!
Props to you x0 -

Have fun during recovery week and next you get to test out some different workouts for week 5 !!0 -
Fantastic job sticking with it! I did 2 cycles of P90X last year and it takes a lot of motivation to keep going. Keep going and you'll see more amazing results!

Haven't actually taken off many inches (c. 1-2) but it feels like I have. Much tighter, much less to grab.
Think I had alot of muscle there it's just getting back into use and getting harder.
Need to burn this last flab!
Thanks all!0 -
Way to go!!0
-
Congratulations for sticking with it! Great results! You should be very proud!!!
P90X is awesome. I am a huge fan of it and have done 7 rounds! I'm doing P90X2 now and falling in love all over again!!!
LOVE THE X
BRING IT!!!!!0 -
I more meant the skin but as you said, less to grab so that answers the question. Really well done dude, keep it up just shows what hard work does for you (I'm in the same boat but I've got skin that needs tightening to get the proper "look"0

wow 18lbs in the first phase. That is over 4lbs/week, you may want to bump your calories up as you should not be losing more than 2lbs/week. As the program goes on you will need the extra fuel, I would suggest you eat back the cals you burn if you are following MFP's guideline, otherwise follow the MFP guide and I beleive based on your size you should be at the 2400 calories/day.
How much have you been eating?0 -
Hello. I just ordered P90X. Should receive it within the next week. I'm looking forward to starting the workout. Would love to add you as a friend and we can help each other along. So if interested, feel free to add me!0

Eric - it's more like 15lbs lost since Jan 1st. 2.5lbs per week. I was eating only about 1200 cals per day but when I started P90X i upped to 1500 and eating most of my exercise cals back (and I am accurate with my exercise cals - MFP way overestimates).
Yes too low but I am tending against the "starvation mode" school of thought. It has been working for me and I have not felt hungry. I will keep going with it until I plateau and then I might mix it up plus add some increased weight training, maybe a spike day or something.
(I actually gained 2kg this morning! First time I have really noticed the effect of water weight. Did an epic 1,000 cal workout last night so I believe its water retention in my repairing muscles. Feels like I am peeing it all out today! Hopefully this is no plateau just yet!)0
