I'm not talking about your refridgerator, your crock pot, or stove...

I'm talking about the stuff in your drawers. What gadget do you absolutely rely on?

I have two - my veggie peeler & my apple corer/slicer. Both get used multiple times a day.

    I love my garlic press.

But good, sharp knives are a must have for me.

    Also, my instant-read thermometer.

My food scale, my Henckel knives and my waffle iron.

I love to cook and have a kitchen full of gadgets. My food scale and knives are used more than just about anything. And the waffle iron... I would cry if I couldn't make my homemade Belgian waffles. They are like heaven on a plate. :-)

Ugh, I hate mine. Never seems to work without smelling like its burning the motor.

My items would be my digital scale, a sharp knife, and I really want the IR thermometer I saw on Food Network the other day!!

my blender which uses a "base" for the pitcher that spins off and fits standard mason jars so I have a "bullet" unofficially for grinding small amounts of spices, or coffee whenever I need to...

Besides that my cast iron cookware, it's great, properly seasoned it's better than any non-stick cookware you can buy now

    sharp quality knives

oh and my manual can-opener but I'll never be without that as there's 1 in the kitchen one in my wallet, and at least one in the car :) always convenient... it's one that used to come with military rations... works great ;)

Not really a gadget person but I couldn't live without my food scale. I'm a serious over-estimator.
  • since it seems manufacturers wont get rid of the can for simpler packaging, i couldnt part with my can opener.
