(TMI) Weighing yourself...

Have you ever weighed yourself before and after a bowel movement?
I have a couple times. :blushing: There has never been a drop in weight. Weird. (My scale is digital & measures every 2/10ths of a pound)
My husband does this fairly often. He gets such a kick out if it and has his "record loss."

My brother does. He's a bit odd like that.0

Hahahaha! My boyfriend does this once in a while... He takes great pride in dropping deuces!0
-
I do it too. I actually find I can gain weight after a bowel movement. however if I reweigh after 30 min... it goes away.0
-
Ha! I have just because I"m curious! Most of the time I don't lose. So I just quit caring if I did or not before weighing.0
-
lol!!! i actually only weigh myself the day after i poop. for some reason i poop every couple days ( i know its supposed to be like twice a day) and I wait to weigh myself until AFTER i do it just incase haha. I know I am not going to have a 5 pound poop but every ounce counts! lol0
-
Hahaha I do that at least once a week. I don't know why. I know the weight I'm losing isn't fat or anything... but it's sort of funny and interesting.0
-
So either your poop is weightless or your scale is not as accurate as you think.0
-
Yup! I don't weigh myself until after I potty and if I need to poop I just wait to have breakfast until I can (within reason of course). It does in fact, make a difference! Why wouldn't you?0
-
My husband does that too must be a man thing lol!0

Ghost poo?
I have not done this but only b/c I don't have a digital scale at home anymore so I weigh at work and that scale is the old fashioned doctor kind where you move the little metal weights.
But it's amusing!0 -
Not to see a weight change before and after, but I do make sure to go before my weekly weigh-in...any little bit helps, right?? :P0
-
I've done it. I find I usually weigh more if I weigh right after, so I stopped doing that. If you aren't showing a difference, you may want to wait. Potty, shower, dry your hair, then weigh maybe.0

This used to be a "hobby" of mine until I took the batteries out of the scale when I massively upped my calories and my weight training.
I'd still do it but I don't want to know what I weigh. But if I could get a poop-only weight scale I'd totally buy one.
I guess I could just buy one of those scales like in the produce department :bigsmile:0 -
LOL funny u post this..i did this for the first time today hahaha but no difference! so it won't be something i do regularly LOL0
-
Hell ya always take a healthy one before weigh in!0
-
I do this every morning. I think it's hilarious.0

I was like George Costanza... I'd have to poop naked so I could get totally accurate before/after weights :laugh:0 -
what i have done is weighed pre and post shower. my body must have so much filth, i swear it works every time.0
-
Helllll yeah I poop before I weigh myself! Save an ounce or two. ;D0

Oh dear... don't tell me you pee in the shower.0 -
Some digital scales remember their last weight and show it again if the new one is close - it makes them "appear" to be more accurate. The ones we had at work did this, which caused issues when two people were of similar weights. There are 2 "easy" ways around this - get someone else to stand on the scales in between, stand on them while holding a heavy object (handbag, pile of laundry...) and one harder one is to stand on the scales with one foot on the floor taking half your weight (it's tricky, you've got to have good balance or your weight wont stabilise)0

yeah funny to try lol
ive gained haha!0 -
The reason you guys are not seeing what you expect on the scale is because its tricking you and is not as accurate as you think.
It will fake readings to make them more consistent
I use this scale and its very accurate, check the reviews
