I just wanted to get eveyone's opinion on foam rollers ( or PVC pipe). Does anyone use these to roll out their muscles after exercising? Do you feel a difference? And what exactly does it do to help you and your muscles?
Thanks for the input in advance!

All the personal trainers at my gym use them before they have ppl work out. It gives a londer range of stretch it seems and I know from class that compression on the muscle (from the pressure of you rolling along the rollers) helps prevent strains. That's all I know. Google it. :happy:0

I've only recently starting running (and in VFF of all things!) so my calves get really really tight. I bought a 'The Stick' roller and it definitely helps me bounce back to full, non-stiff mobility after a run. Self massage is purported to help increase circulation and break down lactic acid (source of much soreness) faster.0

I have one at home for working out tension knots and also for stretching hard to stretch spots. Love it! Can't imagine life without it.0
