I'm proberly goning to get some neggitave comments about this one, but i'm just stating whats on my mind. I have been in a rut latley and gaining instead of losing. So, i'm doing a clense/fast with a popular vitamin inhanced drink. Im almost through day one and i feel fine. I just feel like i need to be detoxed of all the crap iv been eatting lately. I hope this sets my normal 1200-1400 cal diet back int place.

Also, re-evaluate what you are eating and drinking. Measure everything. Fasting will only make you gain once you eat again... same with detoxing.

1-2 days fasting do wonder for your body. I do ESE, fast from 1 dinner to the next dinner
If you want to do more than 2 , do more research on it. Since there is no food for stomach to digest, existed crap in the body can not get flush out so you need to take laxative. Juicer is great to get nutrients. If you only have a blender, you can use cheese cloth
to filter pulps out. My mom does not like to eat much (85 yrs) so I do lots of juicing for her and she does not get sick as much as before.

A one day fast is beneficial. Extending fasting will downregulate your metabolism as with any other extreme calorie restriction. Do more research before you commit to something like this.

Detox liquids that are for a couple of days rarely do much good. If you want to "detox" your body of all the crap, I would suggest cutting out sugar, processed foods, starches (white rice, potatoes), dairy, gluton, soda (diet and regular), and alcohol for a few weeks. You will be amazed how much better your body feels when you stick with lean proteins, vegetables (7 servings a day), and fruit. Just make sure you're getting in at least 1200 calories. Slowly add whole grains and dairy back in to your diet. I did it last month and could tell a difference after just a couple of days. I have much more energy - no more afternoon slump, my joints and muscles stopped hurting, my acid reflux is gone. The best part is my body is now ready to lose weight and I am succeeding.
  • Hey dear girl,
no negitive remarks from me I know when you start to gain weight instead of losing it is a big fear or even a loss of motivation to keep going. Before spending money on pills I think I have another solution. this was on the doctor OZ show. He had a nutrionist on his show and she said If you add a shot glass of Apple Cider viniger to an 8 oz glass of ice water every day and drink it it boost your matabolism 86% meaning you will burn more calories in a day and it cleans out toxin, and other bad things helping to reduce cravings. I seen this yesterday on the Dr. Oz show and on my way to walmart to purchase a big bottle of apple cider, It is cheaper then pills and healthier. Keep going at this girl I do not know if your seeing it but I am your tummy looks flatter and your face looks so much thinnner.I am so proud of you.

Far-freaking-out! 86% increase in metabolism. So, my current BMR is estimated at 1946 Calories. All I have to do is drink a shot of apple cider vinegar a day and my BMR will jump up to 3619 Calories? That's awesome. So with exercise I should be able to eat close to 5000 calories a day and still lose weight. I'm freakin JACKED! I'm gonna buy a big jug of that stuff on the way home and stop at little Caesars and get two or three pizzas for supper.
