Everyone learns a lot of things, everyday we learn something new. So I figured it'd be fun to list anything we've learned this week, funny, serious or anything else.

I have...

1) Learned not to drive into a telephone pole while holding a full to the top glass of protein shake. It will explode EVERYWHERE. Soaked my scrubs, my steering well, my dash board, my door handles.

2) Oh, and not to run into a telephone pole in the FIRST place. I'm used to driving a truck and trailer, took the turn reallllyyyyy wide, was looking down and didn't realize I was going too wide and hit the damn pole. [Yes, I'm blonde, and no...I don't look down while making turns anymore]

3) I've been a wimp this whole time, and using 3lb weights in Zumba. Moved up to 5lbs, and next week I"ll do 8.

4) I love sticking people with needles and pulling blood.

5) I love bingo. Even if I am surrounded by a bunch of older ladies. Who get viciously competitive. Some of them scare me, but I'm sticking with it!

6) I do not enjoy waking up to a dead mole on my bed. Thank you, lovely cat of mine.

    1. I've learned that a pancake without butter or syrup is flavor equivalent to a rice cake.
    2. I've learned that pizza, girl scout cookies, potato chips, and peanuts are designed to make me crave more.
    3. I've learned that shower shoes grow interesting bacteria.
    4. I've learned that if you walk into a subway restaurant and say, "Hey, welcome to Subway!" brightly and loudly it confuses the pimply faced teenager trying to serve you.
    5. I've learned that my wife believes "E "on the car gas dial means "extra".

I used to work at Subway, definitely had people try to throw me off by saying things like that. Usually I just replied with, "Hi there! Is there anything I can help you with?" haha Also had a sandwich thrown at me, but that's another story....

    I am guilty of 5.

I have learned that broscience has ruined the fitness goals of millions of people. If people would stop doing what they hear and start researching, they would go so much further.

Well, I - I think that it - it wasn't enough to just want to see Uncle Henry and Auntie Em - and it's that - if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with! Is that right? :blushing:

  • Today I learned the best way to end a very tiring week, particularly when I'm in veg-out-Friday-evening mode, is to have a really tough workout and put everything I have into it. At least then I have earned my veg-out time and I can feel good about it :drinker:

    This week, I have learned...

    - my 4 year old thinks sperm floats in the air to make babies.
    - my dog, whilst useless at most activities, can suck up an amazing quantity of squirrel and rabbit turds per hour.

    I have learned....

    1) do not put yourself out for the sake of others if it makes you miserable!

    2) You can't help someone who is not willing to try to help them self.

    3) Very few people are willing to take accountability for there own actions, and find it easier to blame every one else and just make excuses!!!

    4) That communication is key to any kind of relationship or business.

    5) That I am way stronger than I have been giving myself credit for.

    6) That I have some awesome friends on MFP!

Yes, I have had a very trying and eventful week thus far! Thank you for posting this thread so I could vent!!!

I've learned that if I run fast enough I can catch that connection that everyone says I won't catch.
I've learned that even if it is 39* out I don't need a jacket or even a hoody if I'm moving fast enough.
I've learned that my body runs quite well when fueled with plenty of coffee, and that I can choke it down iced without milk or sugar, but with a bit of sugar free mocha.
I learned that I make more than a coworker who I was sure made at least what I did since she's been with the company and as a manager longer *lol*
And my biggest learning experience was that I can resist cravings of the fast food places that surround my apartment area, if I run and run fast enough to get away from them. The whole time telling myself sure you can have it if you count it towards today and tomorrow and do 2 rounds of level 2 Jillian Michaels right afterwards. Yes, that was my biggest learning experience *lol*

    2) Whey Protein doesn't work for me on it's own..need to add some Soy Protein...
