I think that's been debunked - yes there is cholesterol in eggs, but it doesn't easily become cholesterol in your blood. So they are safe to eat, in moderation.0

If you cut out the yolk or just reduce it you'll cut the cholesterol.0

I have blood in my cholestrol, I don't stop eating anything but eat the cholestrol naughties in moderation - except cheese which I am addicted to so try to avoid.
So if you have a fancy for a boiled egg have one, not ten, not twenty, have one and enjoy it.
Feel free to friend0 -

The only thing I've heard is that dietary cholesterol is not related to blood cholesterol0 -
Egg yolks are indeed full of cholesterol. Like most cholesterol-rich foods, they are jam-packed full of important nutrients, especially the fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids.
In fact, the slew of nutrients in an egg yolk is so comprehensive that a few a day would offer better insurance than a multi-vitamin. Most importantly, the yolk contains most of the nutrients in an egg.
Egg whites, on the other hand, contain far fewer nutrients. The only thing that could justify their consumption is their attachment to their companion yolk.
Concerned about the cholesterol in egg yolks? Worried about protecting your heart health? Egg yolks have long been maligned because of their cholesterol content, but cholesterol itself does not cause heart disease. In fact, while LDL, a major carrier of cholesterol in the blood, does have a role in heart disease, it is when poor metablism, deficient diets, and toxins destroy the LDL particle that heart disease develops

Eggs are fine, in fact they are an eggcellent (sorry!) source of protein, vitamins and minerals. There is a very small minority of people who can't tolerate the cholesterol in eggs but those people are few and far between. Most people, even those with high cholesterol, are fine with eggs as dietary cholesterol is dealt with differently by the body. If you are worried about cholesterol, watch your sugar intake and refined carbs as well as trans fats. Basically avoid processed foods most of the time and you should be fine. As my grandma always used to say "a little of what you fancy does you good". But the emphasis is definitely on "little" for processed "treats" :happy:0

They done a program about it the other day. The researcher ate 4 eggs a day for 2 weeks and her bad cholesterol hadn't changed at all. It was still in a healthy limit.
I've always eaten 2 eggs most days and my cholesterol is fine.0 -

This is absolutely true. There was a very significant meta review published maybe three years ago that convincingly demonstrated that there's no need to limit eggs in the diet to maintain healthy cholesterol in the blood. You need to do the standard diet and exercise, reduce saturated fats (mostly animal fats - butter, lard, fatty meat), and watch your sodium intake. Enjoy your eggs, if you want to.0 -

Get your hands on the book "Eat Fat, Lose Fat" - eggs are fine and you'll learn a whole lot more about fat, based on genuine non biased research i.e. not funded by margarine companies!0

It wasn't until sometime last year that I learned the yolks contain Monounsaturated fats.
I will do egg whites though0
