Iv lost a stone and still wearing the same size!0
-
I have lost 24lbs and 3 UK sizes on the bottom half and 2 on the top. And half a shoe size which is a pain!0
-
I've lost about 35lbs and still the same size (& measurements!)0
-
Ive lost 16lb and am now inbetween sizes, but it all depends on your body shape.0

About 15-20. I've lost 63lbs and am down almost 4 sizes0

I've lost half a shoe size as well, It's a massive pain I now only one 1 pair of heels.... I've lost 32 pounds in total and 1 dress size on the bottom 2-3 sizes on top depending on the fit!0 -
I read somewhere that you are supposed to drop one dress size with every 10lbs in weight lost. Not sure if its true though as everyone's body shape is different.0
-
I'd say around 13-15 lbs.0
-
I've lost 26lbs and I've gone from a UK16 to a UK10-12 on bottom and a UK14 to a UK8-10 on top.
So roughly 2 stone has been about 2.5 dress sizes for me.0 -

I don't think this can be true, I've lost 23lbs now and am still the same dress size! I mean I can feel the difference a bit in my clothes but I can't get into the next dress size down? x0 -
go down one size every 9-10lbs0
-
I've lost 12.5lbs and I'm down a jeans size. I was in between top sizes but the smaller is now hanging on me a little! They usually say around 10/12lbs for a dress size but it really just depends on where the weight comes off you pet!0
-
Ive lost 11 lbs and just about into a lower size, was a UK 16 bottom half and just about a 14 now.0
-
28lbs (2 stone) off and two sizes down!0

Well since I am a guy I don't wear dresses but I am Scottish Canadian. I do have a kilt and it sure fit better after the 10 lb mark.0

It not only depends on body shape; it also depends on starting weight. A 25 pound loss will not look the same on someone starting out at 275 and their friend starting out at 175. Even though it's the same amount, it should be much more obvious on the person with the lower weight.0

You need to consider the mess that is dress sizes nowadays too. Unless you're trying the exact same garment in a different size you'll come up with different sizes anyway. I have pants ranging from a UK size 10 - 14 and tops from 10 - 16!! all of which fit me fine. Roughly though I'm a 10/12 bottom and 14 top. Used to be a 20 bottom 22/24 top.0

I was 190lbs, I am now 154lbs. I am in the same size clothes and my measurements have barely budged... We're all different!0
-
I once lost 2lbs but was in the gym 5 days a week after 8 weeks I dropped 2 dress sizes
But usually I drop a dress size every 10-14lbs in 2010 I lost 57lbs and dropped 4 dress sizes0 -
10-12lbs.0

i have lost 14lbs and not changed dress size although my bra is now on the smallest hook, i think it depends where you lose the "fat"from as i have lost it on my neck, arms ribs and thighs and only .5inch on my waist and my bust is still the same so my tops fit fine and bottoms are fine just not as tight on the legs : )0
-
About 35lb before I dropped a size! Was a UK 14 for AGES, now I can finally say UK 12. I think it must be different for everybody but gawd was it annoying when I was 2 stone down and still the same size! You'll get there, just keep going0
-
It averages out about a stone per dress size for me (28lbs down and two dress sizes smaller).
Those complaining that they've lost a stone but not seen a change in size, don't despair. For me at least it took a while for my body to "settle" into its new weight and redistribute the fat! Don't forget that exercise makes more of a difference to size than weight.0 -
I've lost 36lbs and gone from a UK 16 to a UK 10.0

I've lost 37lbs and gone from size 20 to size 14 (UK) alot of my weight was around my middle/tummy (13" off tummy, 7 " off waist), my arms and legs haven't changed much and feet still the same. I'd love to fit in 5 1/2's and get cheaper uggs and brand name trainers.. lol! (currently 6, so few inches off feet should do it!!) :laugh:0

PS, In Ireland, dress size means clothes size, nothing to do with dresses x0
-
about 8 lbs. lost 16 so far and lost 3 sizes though. was pushing 14 and now fitting back into my 8s and 6s0
-
It does depend on your height, body shape, and also your size when you start out. The bigger sizes have larger gaps between them (there are more inches between a 28 and a 26 than there are between a 14 and a 12).
However, as a rough rule of thumb, I now lose a size for about every 14 pounds. I'm 5 ft 8. My hips are generally at least a size smaller (usually more like two) than my bust, though, which makes things a little bit complicated0
