To the americans out there - when I say jelly, I don't mean the kind that you spread on your bread. I mean the wobbly desert... but I suppose 'crystals' give it away ^_^

So I have been wondering if there are any suggestions out there on what I can add or do with the jelly? I know adding fruit is a given! Any other ideas?

i think this is what we in the US call Jell-o. I love to eat it as is once prepared, or layer it in a dish with fruit and even some greek yogurt. You can also add a little to some water for flavoring.

Just before it is fully set add a muller light and whisk it up and its sets into a lovely mousse!! Other yoghurts can also be used but i like some of the old faithful muller lights flavours and its just the right size! Makes both the jelly and a muller go further and its only real minimum cals for a different sweet treat!
  • put vodka in it and make shots ; ) kidding of course...

If it is like Jell-o you can layer it with different flavors, adding cottage cheese or low fat cream cheese between the layers. Lemon and lime layers are really good with these additions.

Oh yes whoops Jell-o! That's right. Mmm greek yoghurt to make it a little creamier :) good idea.

Ahhh layering. Of course! I was just getting a little sick of the same old plain jell-o. Wanted to spice it up a little bit without adding too many extra calories!

I know what I used to do with normal jelly crystals as a kid - but I'm pretty sure eating the crystals dry isn't much help on this site.
