Do you snack??

Do you find that snack is beneficial to your weight loss or does it make it harder for you to stay in your calorie goals? I also that eating every 2-3 hrs worked for me because it's what my trainer had set for me to do but I am finding eat 3 meals, sometimes 4 works better for me.

    All day! If I don't snack I'm far more likely to have a blowout meal.

    I snack all the time...fruit mid-morning...hummus and flatbread or something during the afternoon...and always something delicious right before bed. Knowing I can eat again soon keeps me from downing any 1,000+ calorie meals.
  • yes i have 2-3 snacks a day. on my breaks i'll snack and like that i'm not feeling hungry and it helps me loss the weight as well. look at my diary anytime you will see. i look forward to them snacks lol

    snacking right now. 28 triscut minis is one serving. add to that a wedge of laughing cow for 35 calories and you've got a great, 165-calorie snack!

    No, I don't snack much. For me, it works better if I'm very strict most of the time, and have the occasional "pig-out."

    Totally agree with you JaclynnGail. Knowing that my next snack isn't far away keeps me from bingeing.

    Mind you, depending on the types of things you're eating for your snacks, you might need to have smaller main meals to accomodate. My snack sizes are basically the same size as my meals. I try to keep every meal under 200cals. So 6 meals x 200 cals = 1200.

    I find that breaking my meals down to small portions throughout the day ensures that I never feel sluggish, and keeps my metabolism pumping. It works for me!

    Yup on most days. Usually a piece of fruit, nuts, some rice crackers with PB and/or a protein shake

    You bet! If I didn't, I'd go crazy at dinner! I love snacks. I have fruit, yogurt, nuts or cracker chips with salsa, yum!
